You will be saved Ichigo

For the last six years he noticed his eyes becoming blank, watched as his face became sickly looking with black bags on his eyes. He never looked in the mirror anymore, wanting too break it when he did see. Feeling he had some peace that now two people knew. Since Rukia had been sleeping in his room and there when it happened, and comforting him after it had made him feel better. Now he could kill hollows too release more of his pain. But still, some nights he wished his father would just kill him

“I wish I had the strength too kill him or myself, they would have a better life with out me. But if he did killed me, would he start hurting Karin or Yuzu?”
Groaning he dunked his head under the water, holding his breath for as long as he could. Again there were people outside listening too him, they all looked sadly at the door and snuck away. When Ichigo thought he’d been in there long enough he changed and opened the door, swearing

“Fuck! I didn’t think I was in there that long.”
It was now dark in the hallway, darker than he remembered last night. Due too all the lanterns being blown out. Taking careful steps Ichigo then began too run, only too bump into someone and yell as he fell on the floor. Not looking at the person, he got up and ran the other way

“What is the matter with him?”
The person spoke out loud, Rukia walked up too them sighing sadly

“That brother, Ichigo’s fear of the night and the terror it brings.”
Byakuya Kuchiki looked at his little sister with a questioning stare, but she shook her head walking away too find Ichigo.
He didn’t know where he was running, just that he needed too find light before he could stop. Finally he ran into a room that was completely lit, he slid down the wall trying too catch his breath

“Ichigo?”
Tensing he looked up too see Rukia and relaxed, breathlessly he asked

“Was that you I ran into?”

“No it my brother. I believe he was trying too light the lanterns. Know this Ichigo, you are always welcome to sleep in my room I have an extra bed. Maybe you could get a good nights sleep with out any terrors. Because I always leave my lights on.”
Shock took over his face as he registered her offer, a very slight smile graced his face. He had felt very safe when she had slept in his room, he knew it made him seem like a little kid but he didn’t care

“Yeah, that’d be nice.”
They walked together through the dark hallway, Rukia pressing closer when he became nervous. Relaxing when they entered her room Ichigo found the extra bed and laid down on it, falling asleep instantly. Her brother had come up and witnessed the scene without Ichigo noticing, she smiled at Byakuya and closed the door silently.
It was morning and Rukia was up and out the room, informing the staff not too go in there. Then she walked into the dining room smiling at everyone, who all looked at her curious

“Well he slept through the last night peacefully, good thing I asked for an extra bed.”
They all inturn smiled at the information and all ate their meal happily. Again around noon Ichigo woke up, for once happy. Walking up too his friends he said

“Let me guess, good after noon?”
Everyone chuckled at his little joke, while waiting for lunch he asked

“So what is everyone’s plan this afternoon?”
Silence ran the room as everyone thought out the question, Orihme suggested

“Hey it’s a hot day, why don’t we go swimming?”
There was a bunch of agreeing until Ichigo pointed out

“No one has a swimsuit though?”

“We can go buy them, and by the time we’re done. It will have been an hour, so we would be good.”
Replied Rukia, Ichigo laughed

“And I thought Uryuu, here. Was the know it all.”
Uryuu’s eye twitched at the comment, and the rest laughed at the joke and reaction. When they all had a swimsuit on Rukia lead them too a known lake, as they got close too it they heard splashing

“Aww Ken-chan you never play in the water.”
Groaning Ichigo hit his face and kept his hand there, knowing who was there

“Just ignore him Ichigo.”
Stated Rukia

“Easy for you too say.”

“Do I have too throw you in the lake?”
Goaded Rukia and this time, it was Ichigo’s eye that twitched saying

“You wouldn’t dare.”
Giving an innocent smile, she grabbed his wrist and started running

“H-hey!!”
Ichigo found himself running behind Rukia and half laughing with her, as they got too edge she let go and ran in

“Oh it cold!! But it’s great! Come on in!”
Slowly everyone went in the lake, Rukia splashed Ichigo causing a gasp out of him

“Haha! Stop being a baby and really get in here!!”

“Why you!! Get back here!!” They looked at each other and smiled as Ichigo started chasing her and splashing water at her. Completely forgetting about the captain and lieutenant watching him

“You know, those two have become so close. The way they act, Rukia could be another sister too him.”
Commented Orihme and Uryuu added

“Being roommates for so long can do that.”

“Well enough talk, lets swim!”
Giggling she ran out until she chest deep and dived under coming up she yelled

“Hey!! There’s a bunch of neat stuff under here!!”
The boys looked at each other before wading out as far as they could, which was far for chad. Soon they realized that Orihme had not come up, Uryuu yelled

“ICHIGO!!! ORIHME!! HASN’T COME UP!!!”
Everyone stopped and Ichigo ducked under water coming up, he yelled back

“CHAD SHE’S BY YOU!!! SOMETHING’S GOT HERE!!!”
Quickly Chad went under looking for her, for a few tense moments nothing happened. Then he came up with her and both coughing, they all walked to shore

“Orihme are you okay?”
Screamed Ichigo as he ran up too them, she nodded sheepishly

“Yes I’m fine thank you. For some reason the weeds came up and wrapped around me.”
Once again Ichigo fell on the ground when Kenpachi spoke right behind him

“This lake is protective, against anyone who tries too take the objects on the bottom. Did you not tell them that miss Kuchiki?”
Growling Ichigo stood up, fist clenching at his sides yelling

“SHE WAS BUSY IF YOU HADN’T NOTICED!!! YOU COULD HAVE OPENED THAT UGLY TRAP OF YOURS AND WARNED HER!!!”
Stomping off steam coming from him they didn’t bother too go after him knowing it was safer, Rukia turned too Kenpachi venting her rage

“YOU JERK!! WE WERE JUST GETTING HIM RELAXED!!! DO US A FAVOR!! IF YOU SEE US!! GET LOST!!! LETS GO GUYS!!”
Slowly everyone walked away, the boys helping Orihme. Kenpachi looked at his little lieutenant as they left

“It appears this will be more trouble than I thought.”
When Ichigo arrived at the mansion he was still angry and grumbling too himself. Not caring as he passed Byakuya, who looked at him like he was crazy. He went into his room and grabbed the pillow, he pressed it to his face and screamed before promptly passing out. By the time the rest got there Byakuya was standing at the door waiting for an answer, Rukia knew the look and said

“He got angry at Zaraki Kenpachi for not warning Orihme about the lake before she tried too get the things and I had forgot so he berated me.”

“That boy can look scary when he is mad. Most of the staff ran out of his way.”
Was all he said before walking away. It was night time, almost ten o’clock before she became tired enough too sleep. Walking too her room that was across from Ichigo’s. She saw her brother standing in the hallway staring at his door, tiptoeing to him she whispered

“Brother, what are you doing?”
The only response was him nodding his head at the door, Rukia listened and heard Ichigo whining in his sleep murmuring

“I’ll never. With out a fight. Never let it happen.”
Stiffening at the words Rukia looked too the floor as her fists shook, too Byakuya’s surprise a few drops hit the floor. He could not remember the last time his sister had cried. When she looked up at him the tears were running down freely, but she dried them and smiled sadly

“You had better step back. If he sees you he will have a panic attack and I may not ever be able to calm him.”
Doing as told he stepped into the shadows, but close enough too hear. Slowly she opened the door cringing at the look, Ichigo repeated the words

“I’ll never let it happen with out a fight. I will fight till you kill me, Isshin.”
It was Byakuya’s turn too tense, he knew that name but it couldn’t possibly be him, could it?

“He’s not here Ichigo, he can’t hurt you. You’re just having a nightmare. Wake up Ichigo.”
His eyes began too focus on her and she wiped his tears away, but he was still not awake when he spoke

“Why does he do it? Why would he rape his own kid? Did I do something wrong? Am I a bad person? It should have been me that died that day not mom.”

“Don’t talk like that Ichigo, it was not and is not your time to die. And you are not bad person. In fact you are the most kind hearted soul I have ever met. You have the soul of an innocent child, so never ever think your bad. And who knows, maybe your mother’s in Rukongai and we will be able too find her. Just go back too sleep, I’ll stay here with you.”

“You have been the only one. To truly comfort me in the six years, he’s been doing this. Your like the older sister I never had.”
Giggling Rukia replied jokingly

“Yeah. I’m your big sister, only as short as your youngest sister.”

“You said it not me.”
Both laughed as they got comfy, Ichigo’s head on Rukia’s lap and Rukia’s back to the wall

“Good night Ichigo.”

“Good night Rukia.”
Soon Ichigo was asleep and Rukia saw her brother at the door, his face ten times more serious than she ever saw and it worried her. Morning came too soon for her and one by one she saw her friends go by, each staring at the scene and silently greeting her.
Carefully she removed Ichigo from her lap and left the room, stretching greatly after she closed the door. Once dressed she went too her brother’s office, intent on finding out what his look was last night. When she got too it he wasn’t there, but a little note was taped too the door for her, it read

Dear Rukia,
It has come too my attention that all the things Kurosaki said last night coincide with a profile, of a traitor named Isshin who had worked with hollows. There is a report of a beaten hollow admitting that Isshin had contracted Grand Fisher. To kill his son, when he feared the boy’s spiritual power. But the hollow killed the mother instead, we had not known of their names or what name he was using. But I believe it was this boy, Ichigo Kurosaki, that Isshin had wanted dead.
Please do not let any one know this, especially Kurosaki. I am sorry for telling you all this in note, but some things can not be helped.
