@Chapter 100: Woohoo, Centennial Chapter, way to go! Anyway, on with the actual review...

I thought the water must have come from Halibell, but I've had such a spotty record with my predictions, that I didn't want to say one thing on the chance that I would be wrong again. Now that the dust is clearing, everyone has a chance to finally reflect on the cost of taking down so many powerful enemies and what the hell they're going to do now that they've actually 'won'. I hope Yumichika will be alright and that Orihime can fix his face. In the end, I liked the way everyone processed Nnoitra's actions- it might not have made sense, but thank god he did it.

Even so, I feel kind of bad for Tesra, since he was the one who followed Nnoitra and genuinely looked up to him and respected him... Sigh, I guess it's another case of a nice guy being on the wrong side.

And of course, Toshiro starts fretting over his living situation with Tia. But the idea of him proposing to her is extremely cute, and Halibell has become a much more pleasant and endearing figure over the course of the two stories. Man, though, Hyorinmaru sure loves to bitch! That prideful dragon is always complaining about something or other, and constantly going against Toshiro's own thoughts and feelings, even though he's supposed to sort of a reflection of the guy in some sense. Though, the fact that Toshiro is arguing with his sword is kind of funny in and of itself. I liked the idea of him talking with Sung Sun about it before asking, to get her input on the idea.

"He could daydream about Tia wearing an elaborate white wedding kimono later, when he had time to enjoy the indulgence."

Really, Nova, it should be a crime to write such an adorable line as that little gem. ...And then you immediately segue into that downer metaphor with the burned up persimmon tree. But then, I suppose it's still an apt metaphor. Then Gin shows up... And you know, I got over the fact that he didn't show up to save Rangiku or anything like that, because I realize he's pretty mentally disturbed at this point.

Plus, whenever I read his dialogue, in my head he ends up sounding like a mixture of Groucho Marx and Jimmy Durante!

    And there's this bit:

"Build something better than what we’re replacing, something not so easily exploited, with rules that aren’t as hidebound".

Fuck, Nova, that's brilliant! I can't remember coming across a coda that fucking good in years. Amazing closing note to a very emotional chapter. I can't wait to see what happens next wait!

Wow. I have read two series now, up to chapter 99, just to get a glimpse of Kenpachi. Dunno if I should be delighted to finally see him or disappointed at what happened. Of course I understand that a huge, a VERY HUGE part of this chapter could be done wrong due to it being out of Matsumoto's point of view and not the autors. For Kenpachi certainly doing a lot for his Shinigami, who were the only ones out of all Divisions loyal enough to die (and to live) for him. And now he is potraied as a heartless, braindead maniac...

You have given such wonderful, WONDERFUL!!!! insight on the Espada. Explained their reasoning and believes in detail while keeping the manga personalities in mind. And now this. I really do hope the failure in Kenpachi's personalization (for instance, as blood crazy as other character describe him, he is the only one who does not want to kill opponents. Or he calls Yumichika a Fruity but god knows he'd kill anybody for his sake. Or he calls other males princess ((especially Byakuya lol)) yet takes three hours in the bathroom in the morning and more than one in the evening because he cannot stand being dirty ((all in his first chara profile by Kubo and in the manga)).) He is made up of ironic contradictions - I am curious how you are going to play with this!
Also... buffer than Nnoitra maybe (Kenpachi is smaller. Please be the first author who keeps that in mind...) but lean muscled. Look at size and weight - Shinigami captain uniforms make Byakuya look fat ;)

I hope I do not seen arrogant. You certainly have ma honest respect for going this long with it all!

I'm hoping to see all the fallen (or most anyway) in their next life and their lost loves getting to see them start on their next life in the human (or other) realm, though I could see Noitra coming back as his own kid just to get to nurse from Rangeku - lol.

Wow,I don't know what to think of Nnoitra.Should I like his bad-good ass or should I hate him for doing something so unlike him in the end?Seriously? He's the most complicated character I have ever encountered.
In all the chapters that has Nnoitra in it...left me confuse and, kind a insane for even try and solve of what is he really like.
Geez...you are a sick, kind a,writer to have a complicated character, like Nnoitra in that brain of yours. You are Good.

Another lovely chapter!! Great work and I'm looking froward to seeing what happens next with the clean up and everything else. In sure it'll be most entertaining! Keep up the great work I hope you and Blackfox are doing well. Poor yamichikia hope we can fix his eye. I wasn't that surprised that Nnoritoa saved Ran which is good but I wasn't exactly expecting it. I would enjoy seeing Ggio watching over Soifon'a recarnated form if that is ever an option for them to be together in the After life! In going to be disappointed when this story ends but I can't wait to read whatever else you put up if you write any of your own books let me know! Thanks

Well, least Nnoitra saved Rangiku and his babies, but he still thought of another woman when he died. Typical. I hope Yumichika's not dead and if he isn't, he can be healed properly. It'd be a pity to loose his beauty. I honestly thought u were gonna let Tatsuki or Tesra or the baby bite it. I was surprised you didn't go there.

@Chapter 99: This was a very good chapter. Lots of great dialogue and character moments, mostly for the members of Nnoitra's pack. Not a whole lot to say this time, other than that I really enjoyed this...

I mostly agreed with Kain's review. Mostly. First off, this was probably the best outcome for everyone... Nnoitra finally does something selfless, saving Ran (and the unborn children)and freeing her at the same time with his death. In terms of his character arc, I rather enjoyed the fact that he consciously made the choice to do the one thing that Nell (or anyone else) would have expected of him.

I really liked the moments between Tatsuki and Tesla, with him finally asserting himself for once. As to Kain's remark about Tatsuki: It just struck me as small talk on her part, to keep Rangiku preoccupied, while she tried to figure out what do next. And Ran herself has never been shy about talking about her sex life with Nnoitra to others (in spite of the circumstances).

And then Avispona's two daddies show up to save the day! I'm still wondering where all that life-saving water came from, and how Kenpachi and Yachiru will react to seeing Yumichika after sixteen years.

Cant wait to see what happens in the next chapter!

You are positively brutal and merciless lately, holy sprink. These chapters have been a whirlwind of action, heartbreak, and raw power. I am at a true loss for words as to how to respond after 98 sucked out my soul. 99 hit me extra hard cuz holy shit early update. And to be faced with Yumichika being hurt so bad...you've winded me a second week in a row. Freedom has a sky high price tag. I just hope 100 will be a little lighter but also show that other groups have taken hits too. You've got your talons into me deep here and I can't fly away no matter how hard I struggle. Damn Nova. Damn Blackfox. You two are the rulers of a very terrifying empire.

Also Kain reviews like lightning, goddamn.

Well Nnoitra wasn't a total bastard after all. Good for him! I got worried about Rangiku for a second there.

Poor Yumichika! Will Orihime be able to heal the damage if it's not immediately recent? I can't remember that about her powers.

Can't wait for the next chapter!

Well, this was a delightfully intense chapter. And you even managed to slightly redeem Nnoitra, who'd a thunk it? Though I got to admit, the moment that second beetle sent Rangiku and Avispona flying, I had a little trouble focusing on anything other than, "WHERE'S THE BABY?!" But thankfully you didn't leave us hanging on that one, so, kudos. And, thankfully, Orihime should be able to fix Yumichika's pretty face for him, no problem, so no worries there. Well, until next week, then. Laters.

    *Announcer voice*

"Nnoitora is down and the crowd goes wild!!!"

    *background cheering*

Ahem now that that's out of the way, review time.

Well despite my happiness of him dying I will admit he went out in a good way. His one good deed was also his last. Will be interesting to see where Rangiku goes from here, very surprised she was apparently crying for him, but I suppose it could be the shock of what he did to save her. But his POV had me almost tossing a brick at my own laptop, especcially when he mentioned 'training her' For one blinding horrific second I totally thought you were going to kill off Rangiku, had me sweating bullets lol. When this is all over people are going to need therapy.........both in and out of the story lol.

Sigh....Tatsuk, tatsuki, Tatsuki.......She is the one character throughout this ENTIRE story who for me has straddled the line between "God I hate her" and "Holy shit I love this women". I don't know how you do it but whenever she is in a chapter I constantly cycle through liking and despising her. I have absolutely no issues with a person who has a large libido but that seems to more often than not be her default setting. There is a time and a place for swapping sex stories.........in the middle of a Warzone is not one of them lol. And swapping sex stories with someone who is quite obviously not in a consensual relationship is just tactless.

Kudos to Yumichika and Ggio for making the save and hopefully Orihime can repair the damage to Yumi's face. The swarm needs to get their act together and stop targeting people they aint supposed too.

So now we head to the aftermath, stoked to see what happens.

-waits patiently for the next chapter-

    Reunion 2: My daughter

As sad as I am to see that Soi Fon is dead the battle and her death was proudly fought it just sucks that Hyori (as rude as she is I'm sad she's dead too, but it's well deserved for her recklessness) had she not jumped the gun well she might have lived. It was a great fight and I know her daughter will be taken good care of and Ggio will take such good care of his daughter! It was a lovely chapter and I know this is a character death story and each have been played so very, very well that their deaths will be amazingly done. Those who knew them will know they died with honor. You and Blackfox are doing a great job! Hope you two are doing well!!! And that you feel better!

Honestly I want to be annoyed at Soi Fon's death, but you had her go out in such a badass way that between that and how well executed it all was I find myself unable to really muster much anger, that said I really hope that bunker is built to withstand some heavy duty flames cause I imagine not everyone will take it so well.

Wow...was not expecting that. Very sad, but can't have the final battle be all victories and no losses. Makes it more "realistic". Still sucks though haha

Before I review at FF, I wanna leave this so Kain and Darkstar can see it. I will put it on FF too.

I’m hoping Ajuga, as the Spirit Queen, can manage to find Soifon in the next life to at least give some closure to Ggio and Avispona. Cuz I highly doubt Orihime could reverse this much. It is all I can pray for.
