The long, cobbled walk up to the castle’s iron gates gives you plenty of time to ponder a long string of questions that have popped into your mind. Mainly, how have you not noticed an entire castle sitting a block from your house? Who puts a moat and drawbridge in the middle of the suburbs? And what the hell is this place doing to your property taxes?
All this and more you ask yourself as you rap your knuckles against the heavy wooden front door. Unsurprisingly, there is no answer besides a long, ominous creak as the door swings open a good foot and a half. You call a nice and echoing “Hello?” into the dark entryway. All you need is a full candelabra and a wig and you’d be in a Vincent Price movie.
You take a few cautious steps into the castle. The room you are standing in is filled with rich velvets and gold and mahogany, all buried under a nice, thick layer of dust and cobwebs. Immediately something catches your attention. Picking up the single lit candle burning like a bright cliché on a shelf inside the door, you decide to go and investigate
-The creepy green glow coming up from the basement. (Go to #13)
-The eerie violin music coming from upstairs. (Go to #14)
