Glass Chapter 5 Contact
Despite the various light fixtures, she kept the lights off, quite enjoying the moonlight. She'd spent her time waiting for the 'espada ' by staring out the window at the vast lands of Hueco Mundo. She wasn't sure what to expect, but this baron pale desert, was not it. It had an odd type of beauty. Had she not been preoccupied with taking in the scenery, she would have been shocked at the severity of Aizens betrayel. As it were, those were just minor thoughts in her mind. They would come to haunt her later. A massive spirit energy approached, pulling her from the window. She straightened her clothes and faced the door. This must be the Espada. In her mind, she had come to the conclusion that the so called Espada were an elite group of fighters. Still, she remained clueless to any type of specification. Aizen would explain everything to her shortly; of that, she was certain. The energy halted just outside her door, knocking did some awkward, so she spared him.
“Come in.” she called, a few feet from the door. She watched as it opened without contact and a dark figure blotted out the blinding whiteness behind him. This Espada was male. The glow made him difficult to see. His eyes however, glowed in the darkness. She inclined her head, unsure if she should bow. She merely nodded politely. “I am, “ she paused, remembering what Gin had said, “ Seren. Hajime Mashite.” Those bright emerald eyes seemed to glow, his voice came from behind dark lips, low and stoic; “ Cuatro Espada, Ulquiorra Schiffer.” With a small nod, she took a step forward, urging him to turn and lead the way. Content with her lack of conversation, they made their way through the halls. All the while studying each other in their own silent ways. Once the light had fallen over him she had immediately taken a liking. He was silent; unlike Gin. Every inch of skin that she could see, was white as the moon, contrasting those eyes wonderfully and the cerulean lines cascading down his cheeks. She hadn’t expected the 'enemy’ to look...the way he did. All you hear in Seireitei is how Hollows are evil monsters, killing without the slightest hint of hesitation. She believed it, but at the same time, she’d met many men in Rukongai that were the same way. Looking at this man, she felt herself falling further away from Seireitei. Maybe...Aizen had a point...in his musings about Hollows seeking purpose and life. If she thought that way, then she was a traitor. No need to falsify the situation, she was a traitor. Whether she started thinking like one, was a different story. They continued the walk in silence save for the quiet rapping of their feet. He took calm steps, equal in length and each with same amount of pressure. He was ambidextrous, she could tell. He had said he was the fourth Espada. How many were there? And how strong was she in comparison to this man? She had a feeling it was far...but not unbelievably so. They finally reached their destination and she sighed as the door opened, “That journey wouldn’t be so bad if the walls weren’t so blinding.” She felt green eyes turn towards her curiously, she ignored them and stepped forward, pretending not to notice the heat burning in her neck. A chuckle filled the room and she continued forward until she reached the steps near his chair. He turned to face her. “My apologies. I have taken quite a liking to the color.” Aizen said in a velvety voice. She leaned onto one leg and rolled her eyes, “Then why is your room grey?” “As you can see, the walls are clearly white.” He had an amused twinkle in his eye but she couldn’t help but bite back, “Yes, but you have no lights in this room, therefore, the room itself is grey.” She lifted an eyebrow at him. Couldn’t he see that? He observed her with that twinkle for a moment before motioning her to sit at a large table to the right. She obliged, noticing that the Espada still stood near the door, the door having closed after they had entered. She sat down, crossing one leg over the other. The food on the table looked delicious but she restrained herself until she was instructed to eat. It took another moment before Aizen rose and sat across from her. She watched as he removed his glasses and stroked a hand through his hair. She kept her mouth closed but a smirk found its way to her lips and she looked down, trying not to be too obvious. “What is it? Would you prefer I wore the glasses?” He had a mocking tone to his voice that made all humor flitter away, “ No,” She replied, “Clever of you to disguise yourself though. Without the glasses, and your hair like that, I think it’d be impossible to hide your lies.” “Why is that?” he questioned. “Because your face is unmistakably...dark.” She spoke without embarrassment. He regarded her silently, raising a tea cup to his lips. Taking that as a green light, she took her chopsticks and grasped an olive between them, plopping it onto her tongue and sighing audibly. “Has Gin informed you of the situation?” he asked. Gently setting his cup down. “Yes.” she said simply. He gave her an expectant look. She exhaled slowly, “Seren Vailyr.” He pondered this name as she sipped her tea. He seemed to have no intention to actually eat so she refrained politely. “That is the name of a German heroine, correct?” She nearly sputtered, regaining her composure, she eyed him warily. “Yes, although I am a bit surprised you are aware of such a fable. I have yet to meet anyone who knows of it.” she said truthfully. He elaborated, “ A German woman desperate to stay near her lover, feigns her sex in order to join the third reich to which he had been forcefully drafted.. I hear she committed horrible acts of barbarism just to be near him...an odd name for you to have chosen.” he finished. Eying her as he once again took a sip of tea. “I like it.” she said simply. He asked her many questions, which she followed with her own; carefully steering the conversation away from her and onto more important things. She learned of the Espada, the Fraccion, the hierarchy. She found herself high among it, though weaker than many of the Espada, she was regarded personally and directly by Aizen. Apparently that warranted her bows, ‘sama’ from the lower Arrancar and respect from the Espada. It was uncomfortable. She doubted the others were as calm and quiet as the one called Ulquiorra. The conversation dwindled and came to a close, nearly an hour after her arrival. She was instructed to do as she wished and the only authority over her was him. She wasn’t quite sure if that was a good thing but she nodded anyways. She followed his lead as he rose from his chair. He made his way over to her, his height overpowering her and making her tense up. Once he was a mere few inches from her, she craned her neck slightly to maintain eye contact. He stared down at her for what seemed like eternity before she felt a breeze hit her face and turned her head just as her hair fell down and over her back. She stared at the wall, blinking before turning to see Aizen smiling, her hair tie between his fingers. “My first order, is for you to wear your hair down when in my presence.” He held her hair tie out to her and she snatched it away quickly, a light pink crossing over her cheeks. He hooked a finger under her chin and tilted her head up towards him, smiling at her blush and turning her head to the side to examine the sensitive side of her neck. She remained still, her heart drumming in her ears. He kept one hand under her chin while the other had two fingers pressing lightly just below her ear, down to her collarbone. He remained unmoving there before swiftly turning and heading back to his chair on the balcony. “You are dismissed.” She wasted no time, bowing low before quickly retreating to the door. Ulquiorra stood impassive next to her as they left, the heavy door echoing as it closed. She kept her pace calm as she walked, trying to shed herself of heat. Being a woman had its disadvantages too. Especially a virginal one like her, those first touches, undesired as they were, set her on fire. It was a new sensation that was thoroughly unpleasant, a tight aching between her legs. “I can find my way back, thank you.” she said tightly, trying not to let her irritation slip. She knew the halls well enough now, having company was just slowing her down. He stopped and gave her that look again, like what she said made no sense. She nodded politely and continued on her way, launching into a Shunpo as soon as she was out of sight. She reached her room in no time, closing the door quickly. The darkness was welcoming and she sighed happily, walking over to the couch, grabbing one of its pillows and squeezing it between her legs as she laid on her side. She flexed her thighs together, exhaling deeply. Depending on the day, being a woman had major drawbacks. She thought to the morning and Lysa in the shower. She eyed the door to the bathroom, considering. She had never touched herself before, other than for bathing and using the restroom. Neither occasion aroused her, so she had no desire to stimulate herself. She sighed again deciding against it as she turned her head into the couch. Sleep sounded like a good idea...---- The days events had been, so far, disconcerting. He, as well as the other Espada, had been informed of a new authority arriving. They had been instructed to treat ‘this person’ as a fellow Arrancar and not as a Shinigami, as ‘this person’ had never been a part of Soul Society. The shock had settled since the introductions. ‘This person’ was in fact, a woman. His steps echoed in the hall as he made his way back to her room. How she had managed to find her way back after only one journey, he’d never know. Then again, she was a comrade of Aizen-Samas, she had to have some sort of power to warrant that title. Though still young, Gin and Tosen had power as well, however, unlike them, who traveled back and forth often, she would remain in Los Noches always. He was told to be a guard to her as she was still ‘growing’ as Aizen had put it. He hoped it wouldn’t be for long. Before her door, he decided to remain silent, hoping she would detect his presence as she had before. “...” he leaned inwards slightly, hearing nothing behind the door,
“Onna.” he called. Still nothing. Closing his eyes in frustration he lifted a hand and rapped the door twice. He still heard nothing. He concentrated on her spiritual pressure, finding it to be low and slowly fluctuating. She was sleeping. He rapped twice more but still she didn’t stir. He cursed his luck and pushed the door open. . . . . That would be the moment, his eyes would be captured once more... -- A/N Hello all readers and wonderful YoukaiLady. :) There will be slight romance but not OOC. Read up on Ulquiorras Unmasked story for that last line. I hope everyone is well. Thank you for your support. The next chapter is well on its way. Next week; New Beginnings I will ask one question for each chapter pertaining to the chapter above as I would love to hear your ideas as a fellow BLEACH fan. Question One: If you have seen the episodes up to the battle between the Captains and the Top Espada, you should have noticed a scene when Hinamori shows up on the battlefield to help Rangiku. After that, it shows a clip of Aizen with an odd look on his face and Gin taunts him ‘Sumthin the matter?’ What do you think Tite Kubo was trying to do with that scene? I think he was hinting that even if Aizen is a horrible person, Hinamoris affection and adoration slightly shook his heart hence why he went to multiple methods to remove her without having to kill her himself. This is very slight. But he went to great lengths to get rid of her...don’t you think that’s odd? Also, the ‘loneliness’ Ichigo says he felt during their battle, seems to support this theory of mine. Id love to hear your idea! R&R.
