The extra voice caused the two of them to snap up and look over to see who the words belonged to; watching as a single figure almost seemed to storm down the corridor towards them. While the face was sure to be foreign to him, she almost felt embarrassed by the sudden appearance of the Eleventh Division man. Pushing herself to her feet, she tried to pass off a nervous chuckle that didn't seem to be all too convincing.
"Uh, Officer Yumichika, what are you doing here?" Isane questioned as she moved one hand to brush through her silver locks. "We weren't uh... informed of your arrival."
"Is that so? I mean, by curiosity, is this what usually goes on when no one else is around?" he remarked with a brief scoff; his brow wrinkled with his eyes narrowed enough to show off the blatant displeasure etched across his face.
"What? No, we were just-"
"I had to get Officer Isane's opinion on something." Szayel interrupted. "Was close contact really required? More than likely not, but I guess you could say that it's difficult to keep one's self control under watch when in the presence of a lovely lady. If you had a problem with our previous conversation then I suppose that's just a matter that you'll have to solve on your own."
She frowned briefly and tried not to get herself in on the matter, although she noted that the answer only seemed to irritate the man further while the Espada seemed to almost grin at the reaction. Stepping forward, she moved to grab the violet-haired man's arm and tugged him back the way he had just came. "Come on, Yumichika, let's walk and talk; I have to go back down this way to get Captain Unohana anyways." she offered; hoping more than not that he would go with her, only to feel at the last moment that he seemed to shake her loose.
"I don't know what kind of shit you pull on those other women-" Yumichika started.
"Oh don't get your hair in a knot and believe me when I say that the last person on my list would be Miss. Kotetsu herself." he interrupted with an equal snap in his tone, although able to keep his expression from venturing all too far from a relaxed state. "If you'll excuse me, I got the answer I was requesting, so I'll be on my way."
It was difficult to keep herself quiet as she watched the pink-haired man eventually disappear back the way he had just came from; she was almost certain he was probably laughing to himself... for what reason, she didn't know but she could still see him doing it. Taking a deep breath, she turned back to the man beside her and quickly stopped him when he made the motion to speak. "Just stop, alright? Just... let me explain before you completely blow up again. We were only discussing something a very important matter; a private one just at that, that's why he had to get so close to me. I mean... hell, if someone found out about that kind of deal, I can't even think of what might happen..." which was in truth, what if his theory did prove to be true? How would everything fall down as such?
"If that's true, then what were you discussing?" Yumichika questioned sharply; still obviously pissed off at the entire situation.
"It was something... private- look, I'll answer that much later, I promise." she assured; catching the deepening frown maim his lips before he seemed to give up to it unwillingly. "Now then, more importantly, what are you doing here? You didn't tell me you were getting involved in this whole matter."
He had to suppress his anger for now and reached into the neckpiece of his uniform before he retrieved a small folded letter from inside. "Kiyone wanted me to deliver a letter to you; she seems to think that since you're going to be up here more often, I will be too."
A light chuckle passed her lips as she quickly plucked the letter from his fingers. "That's Kiyone for you, she obviously thinks you're going to sneak out of your Division every other night to come visit me through the bedroom window."
"Well I guess that would depend. Do you have a window in your bedroom?"
"To be honest, I don't even know if I have a bedroom here. I don't know if they're going to expect us to leave every night and then report back early in the morning every day until the end of this whole experiment. If there's even going to be an end to it anyways... I don't know, I just want to take it day by day and hope for the best." Isane sighed before she looked down at the letter in hand. "I don't really want to ask because I'm still trying to get over it, but how is Kiyone doing? I'm hoping Sentaro's taking good care of her."
He rolled his eyes lightly at the woman's remark and shook his head playfully. "If you thought they were inseparable before... you've got it all wrong now; he practically carries her everywhere and won't let her feet touch the ground. I can't tell if it's adorable or disgusting to watch."
"Knowing them, it's disgusting." she mused before she moved to tuck the letter into the white sash around her waist for later reading. "So how long are you planning on staying up here? I mean, it's getting pretty late enough as it is and I was going to go check in on the other girls."
"Well... technically I don't have a schedule for today and as long as I'm back by two o'clock tomorrow for our training session... it doesn't really matter where I am." he answered. "If you want, I can keep you company or if you prefer to be with the other ladies, I can get into a chat or two with Lieutenant Chojiro; I suppose if I'm going to play letter bearer for your sister, I should know a little more about what's going on around here."
Hmm, it was a tempting offer to hear that he wouldn't have to be back until tomorrow but... she really shouldn't give into temptation right now. After all, they had plenty of babies to go around soon enough. "You know, it's kind of funny to think that the only reason things are running so smoothly is because Captain Mayuri isn't here and Officer Akon won't be reporting in until late tomorrow evening... Out of curiosity, do you have any insight into when those Captains will be returning from their mission?"
"No idea. I'm guessing it's one of those missions that will be over when it's over." Yumichika shrugged lightly. "Although I have no doubts that this place is running perfectly since Captain Unohana and Captain Ukitake have stepped in to overlook it; even Captain Shunsui if he can keep himself sober long enough."
"Exactly, but as soon as Captain Mayuri returns, we pretty much forfeit all rights." she sighed. "And the girls haven't exactly been around him to know what's going to happen- which, everyone knows isn't going to be good anyways. I'm kind of hoping he doesn't return until this whole process is over or..."
"Doesn't return at all?" he finished.
It was a terrible thought to conceive but she nodded to agree with his words. It was without a doubt that everyone was better off without the iron hand of the Twelfth Captain. Although, at times, it was difficult to wonder who she should be more worried for. Should her concern be for her friends or for the Espada? She had had seen the aftermath of one of their disagreements and while the injuries were minor, it was difficult to wonder why someone would want to inflict that kind of damage on someone who was essentially defenseless. But the scars said there had been plenty of shared disagreements between them before. It was one of those silent questions that everyone asked themselves, that if a disagreement did reach a certain point... would he kill the Espada?
She always found herself consistent with her answer. More than likely, he would.
But that wasn't a matter for right now, she didn't even know how she got distracted into that direction.
"Alright, well uh... if I can get this read and write a response by tomorrow, I might have to get you to carry it back to her."
"Well, I don't really like the art of being a messenger boy, I suppose I can let it go this one time." he offered. "Just be quick about it."

My, my, my what a fun little encounter.
It was almost amusing to see the sense of pure tension and irritation crossed another man's face when he drew far too close to the Fourth Lieutenant; it was a sight and feeling he hoped would remain with the other man. After all, a mere sense of jealousy was easy to spark and easy to keep... so he hoped the man would do such and mind his steps. The last thing he needed was another male presence around here in such close proximity to his mate. Although he supposed if the man wished to press his luck, then he was more than willing to do so... it was all just a matter of questioning whether or not he would. And a matter of wondering what he would do himself in retaliation. The white-haired man from before, Chojiro he believed his name was... he was easy to put down, but he had a sense that this new man would not be so easy to down. Not that he had any attraction to the female Lieutenant, just being around her would be deemed enough to irritate the violet-haired man. Perfect. A hair trigger of an ordeal to investigate.
But that was a matter to be taken up later. He had another, more important one to speak of. If that Officer Akon was not to return until later tomorrow evening, then he had a short window of opportunity to check in on something of his; to check in on something that had been bothering him for quite some time now. But he needed to speak with the Fourth Captain first, and then see where his plans took him.
And while he wondered why the Twelfth Division member was taking his time to relocate, he was constantly asking himself why he bothered with it. He supposed a lot of it had to be in questioning the man's motives... the blue-haired man was not nearly half, or even a quarter of what his Captain consisted of; while he was probably created from the same gene structure, there was little resemblance between them. But instead of being blatantly obvious like his Captain, he remained under the radar and kept to himself with a majority of his ideals. It was like they were running experiments back to back on one another; each one trying to break the other one's outer shell first to get an answer. He highly doubted Akon had something devilishly evil up his sleeves- he wasn't a man capable of that... but there was something going on inside of that mind of his.
It would probably take the both of them going insane to try and figure each other out.
Now then, where was that woman he was looking for?
He went to push aside one of the doors to his right but stopped when it swung outward from another touch; revealing the silver-haired Captain on the other side. There was a moment of stillness as they stood somewhat face to face with one another before he stepped aside and let the man pass; moving into the room behind him without so much as a word to him and ignoring the slight start of a would-be conversation. He had no aspirations to speak with the man and preferred to keep ignoring him as long as he could.
But lucky fro him, wherever the silver-haired Captain was, the Fourth Division woman was always close by.
"Captain Unohana." he called; watching as the woman set aside whatever had been in her hands beforehand. "There's something I need to speak to you about."
"Ah, what a coincidence, there's something I wish to bring up with you as well." she replied.
"I would like to assume that since you are native to this dimension then you are very well aware of our surroundings at this current moment." he started; watching as the woman nodded lightly with his words in agreement. That was one step down. "I don't know if you have access to this notch of information that I seek but... does that Second Division Captain have a place of settlement close to here?"
She took a light pause at his question to take a moment to think. It would only seem natural that he would show a sense of curiosity towards the woman... especially given her special case. She could only guess that he had been holding a long-term count of suspicion and/or questioning about her; perhaps his own mental hypothesis and experiment on her had finally concluded in positive results. Or maybe the questions he had failed to ask her before had been long rotting in his head to the point of near insanity on the matter. "Well, typically I would not wish to say a fellow Captain's information out loud, but given the special circumstances to this case... it would seem more harmful to not do so. The answer that you're looking for is yes; she has a rather aged house on the other side of the mountains, maybe only half a day's walk from here. May I ask why you are partial to that bit of information?"
Half a day's walk... that wasn't as far as he had first assumed.
"I don't normally give away my suspicious but since you were so gracious to bypass one of your own rules, I see no harm in doing the same." he started. "I've found myself growing more and more curious about her with every thought. Most of the time I'm able to sideline it for something more important but now that we're up here... more isolated... I find myself being drawn back to her situation. She revealed a rather interesting tidbit of news and I can't seem to erase it from my mind- something I would almost guess that she did on purpose."
"Knowing Captain Soifon, I would not doubt that she laid seeds to rot inside the vulnerable tissues of the working mind." Unohana nodded as she briefly glanced at the room around them. "I will only offer this because I fear more for her safety than how this Division perceives my actions, but... I can send a message to her; I can at the very least ask for her permission to visit but nothing more. She's an incredibly secretive person, her property is often times lined with dangerous traps and devices to keep trespassers out- and she does have a team that specializes in picking up the bodies and cleaning up the messes. While we might have a better chance of speaking with her by showing up, it would be in the best interest for the both of our well-beings that we send her notice first."
"I think we can both agree that we would much rather announce our appearance rather than show up and hope for the best."
"Agreed." she remarked. "And while I'd much prefer to not go behind Officer Akon's back with such an act... I can't risk bringing her into this matter just the same. She's in an incredibly vulnerable state with the way she's carrying and what she already has; I won't risk it."
"Thank you." he started before he moved to shift the conversation topic around. "Now then, what was it that you wanted to speak about?"
"Oh yes, well I was just sitting here thinking about how Kurotsuchi was well into her fifteenth week and... if the two of you wanted to, Isane and myself could perform an ultrasound; she's coming up to the right time to try and determine the sex of the child. Unless the two of you wish to keep it a mystery till the birth. I just thought I'd bring it up and see if you might toy with the idea. Now, there's no concrete chance of finding out but it's always a nice, harmless risk to try out."
He supposed he had forgotten that she was at the right time in her calendar and was about the correct weight to try and determine the gender of the offspring... he also supposed it would be intriguing to know ahead of time. The fact that they had failed to find a heartbeat earlier was still up for debate but he didn't want to jump ahead of himself on the matter. "I'll talk this over with Lady Kurotsuchi and see what her opinion on the matter is. Personally... you could say that I'm eager to know what exactly we're expecting."

"I don't want to see you with her again."
Those few words kept repeating themselves over and over again in his head as he tried to finish up the last of his rounds throughout the new building; taking note of every little room and detail he felt should be written down. So far, it seemed as though his report to Captain Yamamoto would be decently complete- there was so much information to get down that he hoped the Captain wouldn't mind the slight disorganization of his notes, although he did his best to straighten them out. As much as he would've liked to stay on topic... he kept finding himself drifting back to the brief encounter with the Espada.
It wasn't like he had anything to fear from the man.
He just wanted to respect him and his space, that was all; he had to keep careful footing around this whole operational because he wanted to be seen as a neutral party. He didn't want to keep opinions on the matter, he just wanted to keep the whole thing running as smoothly and humanely as they could.
That was all.
And if in order to do so, if in order to keep peace at hand he would have to sacrifice his time with her... then so be it. As much as it pained him to decide so, he had to put his work before his personal affairs. There was no other option that he would willingly let himself take.
"Lieutenant Chojiro!"
He stopped in mid-step and looked back at the call; watching as the brightly-colored Eighth Division Captain came quickly down the corridor. His Lieutenant tightly held against his chest as he almost wanted to forbid her feet from even touching the ground. "Captain Shunsui, I was not aware of your current presence here. I apologize for not greeting you earlier."
"Oh, that is nonsense." Shunsui assured as he slowed down just long enough to speak with the man. "You are writing a report to Captain Yamamoto, am I correct?"
"Yes, he permitted me to escort the Ladies up here and asked that I give the place a good look around before I headed back." he nodded. "Unfortunately, perhaps I am too observant of the place, my notes are a complete mess."
"You were always one for details, Lieutenant." Shunsui remarked. "If I might burden you to write one more thing down and tell Captain Yamamoto that Lieutenant Nanao here has decided on the name Honoka for her child."
"Ah! Captain!"
He chuckled lightly at the brief exchange; watching as the Eighth Lieutenant lightly brought the back of her hand across her Captain's face. "Whatever you wish, Captain Shunsui; I'll be sure to put it down in writing."
"With much thanks, Lieutenant."
And with that, the Eighth Captain was off once more with his Lieutenant still in hold.
What an amusing matter... to pick out a name so early on and seem so happy with it.
Honoka.
'Harmony' and 'Flower.'
"I'm surprised Nanao hasn't killed him yet."
The voice caused him to look around for the source before he landed on the dark-haired woman standing to his right; it was as if she seemingly teleported into the open space and was watching as the previous couple disappeared down the corridor. She gave a light shrug at the matter before she turned herself back to him.
"Yes well... I'm certain a lot of us are wondering the same thing." he replied briefly as he tried to straighten the papers he had in hand.
"You could probably write it down in that report of yours."
"It appears as though I have a lot of extra comments to make note of. Now then, if you'll excuse me Hinamori... I still have a lot of things to cover."
She watched as he seemed quick to leave before she stepped in after him. It was unlike him to suddenly want to up and disappear... especially when she was around. He didn't even bother to make eye contact with her or even give her a proper greeting; it wasn't like him to up and change his action. "I can accompany you if you'd like."
Why was she making this even more difficult for him?
"It's quite alright, I wouldn't want you to exhaust yourself; you had a terrible fever this morning, you should really rest." Chojiro replied as he tried to continue back down the other end of the corridor; opposite of where Captain Shunsui had been heading. Seeing as this area appeared to be a small lounging area, possible break room for whatever plans this building had had before... if he headed back up this path it should take him to the dormitory wings once more; then he could break off again from there and look at the areas he had yet to explore. The light grasp of fingers on the loose material of his uniform forced him to slow down; a lighter tug on it brought him to a full stopping point. A mental sigh seemed to escape from the deeper confines of his mind as he hoped that the situation would eventually... dissolve from his grasp; would it be any different if she looked for him first? If she provoked contact again and again?
"I don't really feel like being by myself right now... can you stay a little while?"
