Later that day, the shopkeeper and her errand boy headed towards the Kurosaki clinic together. Hands stuffed in his pockets, Ichigo fused his lips into a straight line. He desperately didn't want to talk to his father at this point, though he knew that it was just as well Tatsuki's aunt was taking him home.

Pushing down her hat, the shopkeeper asked her errand boy, "So you never DID say what you thought of Tatsuki marrying that older guy..."

"Well he's doing an honorable thing stepping up to take responsibility. If he hadn't I'd have flattened him. I don't care if he's a director or not," Ikumi said cheerfully but Ichigo shivered at the eerie grin on her face and the menacing gleam in her dark eyes.
Ikumi chuckled a bit. He was so easy to rile up. Ruffling his hair she said, "Will you feel better to know they've made it legal?"
"WHAT?" Ichigo asked, almost tripping over a pavement stone. He felt Ikumi grab his belt and steady him to spin him around. "When?"
"It's the legal route, and I'm sure he was doing it out of honor," said Ikumi shrugging. "Though I'm sure he'll have an official ceremony later on so her parents aren't upset..."
Understanding dawned in Ichigo's brown eyes. He nodded slowly. "You mean he signed the papers today?"
Ikumi's nod told him he had guessed correctly. A huge weight lifted off his chest. At least that old bastard Ishida had upheld his end of the bargain. Though he wondered what Uryuu would say. The young Quincy had been keeping something close to himself and Ichigo could tell from the set of his pinched shut jaw and the way he was so silent at school that it was a family secret.

Soon they arrived just in front of the Kurosaki family clinic, right near the front door. Ichigo set his hand on the knob and turned it quickly. Ikumi followed Ichigo into the house, but then saw a figure leaping down as he shouted, “Good Afternoon ICHIGOO!”
Ichigo dodged at the last minute but Ikumi reached up to punch the assailant out of the way. Only to crash under the full weight of a large man with dark hair. Pain shot through her back as she felt someone lying on top of her.
"Ow, damn it!” Ikumi cursed.
“Dad, get off my boss!” Ichigo yelped.
Beneath the strong muscled chest, Ikumi felt the dead weight squirming on her, and a pair of very strong legs and hands pressing down. She peered over the shoulder of someone wearing a long white coat and panted, trying to push him off her.
“Would you mind getting off of me?” the shopkeeper grumbled.
Pushing up the dark haired man with five o'clock shadow looked down at her with a nervous grin on his face.

“I’m very sorry young woman! My mistake entirely! My idiot son is at fault!”
“Young woman?” Ikumi asked, blushing up at the grinning face of Isshin Kurosaki.
“Dad what are you doing?” yelped Yuzu. “You’re doing something perverted!!”
“Get OFF her, you perverted old jackass!” Ichigo shouted as he grabbed Isshin by the collar and tried to pull him off his boss.

Ikumi wasn’t’ quite complaining having the big strong man on top of her, despite the looks of his children. In fact she felt the pressure of his hard chest squishing her breasts and it felt deliciously good. Parting her legs she couldn't resist letting his knees drop so he wasn't poking her so awkwardly.
"I beg your pardon, I'll just get up and..." Isshin blushed as he pressed either hand on either side of her shoulders.
"I'm not complaining, but you could kneel a bit," Ikumi murmured, not looking the least bit upset. Just then Ichigo jerked him up and hurled him with raw brute strength.
“MOM!!! That man’s attacking you!” screamed Kaoru. “Get away from her!!”
“All right, enough from you!” Karin shouted as she drop kicked Ikumi’s son and sent him flying. As the doctor went flying into the far wall, Ikumi suddenly punched Ichigo in the head.
“Get your sisters away from my son!” she yelled.
“Get off me!” yelped Kaoru, pinned down by Ichigo's dark haired sister.
“Everyone please! Please calm down!” Yuzu cried out, waving her arms wide like a referee at a game.
Ikumi yanked her son up by his shirt collar as Karin glared at him. “Stop doing nasty things to Dr. Kurosaki’s daughter you pervert!”
“Why’d you hit me?” the former substitute snorted.
“Because you’re a bad influence on Kaoru!” Ikumi shot back at him.
“My apologies,” said Isshin quickly as he held a tissue over his nose. “Why don’t we all sit down for some of Yuzu’s cookies and tea? While my idiot son apologizes and Karin does too…”
“I’m sorry,” muttered Karin as she looked at Kaorui.
“Apologize, Kaoru,” said Ikumi, grabbing her son by the ear.
“I’m sorry!” he yelped.
“Good,” said the shopkeeper. “Now, I’d be happy to try your daughter’s famous baked goods, Dr. Kurosaki.”
“Wonderful!” Isshin said as he bustled them all in and kicked Ichigo in the back.
“Ouch!” Ikumi groaned, resting one hand on her lower back. “Are you ok?” Isshin asked worriedly.
“I think I threw my back out,” she mumbled.
“Well Dad’s a doctor. He could look at it?” said Yuzu helpfully.
“What, this crazy old man?” Kaoru pouted, glaring at the doctor. His mother promptly tugged on his ear again.
“Behave! You sit here and play nice with the girls. Got it?” Ikumi whispered.
“All right mom,” muttered Kaoru giving Karin a sour look. Ichigo glared at him and so did Karin but Kaoru followed Yuzu into the kitchen.

Meanwhile Isshin led Ikumi towards one of the exam rooms. She tried hard not to grimace as she held her hip, but Isshin turned to her. “Relax… it won’t take long… it’s all my fault… the least I can do is help…”
"Thanks,” muttered the shopkeeper as he closed the door behind them. He pulled on some rubber gloves and turned away.

Ikumi pulled up her shirt, and then lay on her stomach. Turning around the doctor matter of factly probed her strong toned muscles. She hissed a bit, and then Isshin gently rubbed some cream into the abused tissue.
“I think you’ve sprained a muscle,” he said quietly. “This should help.”
Blushing, the shopkeeper apologized, “Sorry about Kaoru. He’s just protective of his mother."
“Well he’s a good young man,” said Isshin with a chuckle. “No harm done. My Karin can be protective too.”
“She’s a lot like Ichigo kun,” said Ikumi with a small smile. As she lay there with her head resting on her folded arms, Isshin’s fingers massaged gently with a slow touch. To her annoyance she felt her nipples growing hard. As handsome as Ichigo was, his father was a full grown version of that rugged handsomeness.
Fantasies about having his son had spun through her mind and she called him a pervert. Yet here was the old man himself, a widower and a good deal more cheerful if not crazy. Ikumi realized she was blushing when the dark haired man asked, “Are you ok?”
“It’s not every day a handsome doctor throws himself at me,” she mumbled.
“You’re too kind,” chuckled Isshin with a half goofy grin and a twinkle in his dark brown eyes. The warmth of his hands through the gloves was gone too soon she thought. Rubber snapped as he removed the gloves. They clanged into a trash can. She then sat up, feeling the soothing tingle of the ointment he applied.
Resting a hand on her hip she asked, “You think I’m just blowing smoke?”
“Well considering it was my fault for um… crashing on top of you, I’m surprised you weren’t angrier. I was expecting a punch,” Isshin murmured sheepishly.
Eyes hidden by her cap, the shopkeeper mumbled, “If it was anyone else, I would have."
“What was that?” Isshin asked, cleaning out his ear with a Q tip. To this Ikumi clapped a hand over her mouth.
“Nothing,” the shopkeeper said with a wave of her hand. “I’ll just be going.”
As she slid off the table, she let out another yelp. Isshin quickly moved towards her, and his leg tangled in hers. She landed on the edge while Isshin’s arms steadied her. Clutching his lab coat she let him help her up and his dark brown eyes glanced down into hers.
“Whoops…” he chuckled.
Her chest brushed his as Ikumi released him with one hand and muttered, “Thanks.”
“No problem!” Isshin said brightly, letting her go. “But don’t just rush off. How about some dinner? You and your son could join us.”
Reluctantly Ikumi mumbiled, “Well, I don’t want to impose.”
"Please, impose,” the doctor urged.
“Damn it,” Ikumi mumbled, feeling her heart speeding up. “This isn’t fair.”
“What’s not fair?” Isshin asked, worriedly ducking his face into hers. “Are you sure you’re ok? Your face is awfully red.”

Ikumi cursed inwardly as Isshin fetched a thermometer and urged her to sit on the bed again. He shoved it under her tongue, and then grabbed her wrist to check her pulse. The smell of fabric softener wafting off him was an unlikely aphrodisiac.
“38 degrees,” he muttered. “And an elevated pulse…”
“You worry too much,” Ikumi griped. Isshin’s hand smoothed her hair back and Ikumi pulled her cap off, glaring up at him.
“Well someone should,” the doctor managed to get out, his face not far from hers.
“Oh the hell with it,” the shopkeeper breathed and grabbed Isshin by his shoulders. To his shock she angled her face and pressed a kiss to his mouth.
Isshin’s tongue didn’t stop her as she swept it against his lips. He opened his mouth gently and remained still, keeping his hands on her hips. Ikumi wrapped her arms around his neck and slipped her tongue into his mouth seeing what he’d do. Tje doctor let out a small moan and tentatively brushed his tongue past hers. Her hands wandered into his dark hair, holding him tightly to her. The doctor then wrapped his strong arms around her, lifting a hand to gently caress her cheek.
Breaking for air, both of them panted. Isshin murmured, “I’m sorry to take advantage of a patient…”
“I’m taking advantage of you,” Ikumi chuckled.
“Then you don’t mind that I crashed on top of you?” Isshin murmured as he saw the darkness in her eyes that mirrored his own.
“No. I liked it,” she murmured softly.
“Wait a minute. We shouldn’t do this,” Isshin said quietly.
Ikumi sighed. “Ok. Sorry…”
“Not here,” Isshin said as he stripped off his lab coat and threw it over a chair. Carefully he took her hand and led her up the back stairs to one of the bedrooms. He carefully opened the door to the room in the far wall.
“Stay here. I’ll be right back,” Isshin said softly. He bent down and gave her a kiss.
“Make yourself comfortable.” Ikumi muttered, “Kaoru…”
“I’ve two lovely daughters and a son to keep him busy,” said Isshin as he winked.

Later on Ikumi had sat on the large bed, flipping through a magazine. She’d not known quite what he meant, but decided not to undress quite yet. Instead she swung around her legs and sat in the dimness. The door opened and Isshin entered, with a small mischievous smile on his face. He closed it behind him, and set down the small tray he carried.
"I thought I said make yourself comfortable,” he pouted.
“You didn’t say how,” Ikumi countered as he rounded the bed and crouched on one knee. Reaching for her, Isshin snaked an arm around her waist and pulled her forward. Lifting her up, he set her on her feet and pulled her into an embrace.
She leaned up, wincing at her back muscles as she tried to steal a kiss. Isshin lifted her by her hips and held her so she didn’t have to reach as far, angling his mouth to the side. His stubble tickled her cheek and she let out a throaty moan as the elder Kurosaki kissed her gently. She winced and yelped, “Ow…” surfacing from a kiss.
“Here, how silly of me,” Isshin murmured as he set her down on the bed. “Lie down… I’ll give you a backrub.”
“Help me take this off,” Ikumi urged, crossing her arms to pull her shirt off. He reached down to tug it over her hair and lay it over a chair. His eyes admired her breasts in the black lacy bra.
“Very nice,” mumbled the doctor as he guided her hands to his loud Hawaiian shirt. She unbuttoned it quickly and pushed it off his muscular arms, running her hands over the thick hair on his chest.
"You’re not the only one admiring the view,” she muttered, realizing it probably sounded cheesy, but in Isshin’s vocabulary it was fine since he grinned happily at her. He bent one knee on the bed and scooted onto it next to her. Then urged her to roll over onto her stomach while he straddled her carefully. His huge hands slowly kneaded up and down her back, and reached or her bra strap.
"I’m not trying to be kinky here, but this needs to come off,” he muttered as he unhooked it.
“What a shame,” Ikumi lamented but Isshin’s hands kneading into her shoulder blades caused her next words to be low moans. She reached down under to unbuckle her belt till the doctor stopped.
Eyes gleaming with concern he asked, “What are you doing? You don't have to do anything else if you don't want to...”
“Help me off with these,” she asked. Isshin then tugged her jeans off and set them aside with her shirt. Then his wonderful hands returned to massaging the knots out of her shoulders and spine. Soon she felt like butter in his fingers. Turning over she pulled off her bra and reached up to him, rubbing his chest.
The dark haired doctor smiled a bit, turning off the light to plunge them into dimness. His arm again wrapped around her and pulled her to lie down alongside him on the bed. Softly he kissed her collarbone, loving how her breasts felt against his bare skin. Ikumi groaned, angling her mouth over his in a deeper kiss. She murmured, “Mmm, Isshin…”
He pressed her down under him, straddling her as he kissed her deeply. Both his hands pressed to either side of her face. She reached up to unbuckle his belt and slip it out of the loops.
“You sure?” he whispered, breath tickling her sensitive skin.
“It’s poking into my stomach,” Ikumi said pragmatically. She parted her legs so Isshin could kneel between them, and reached up to wrap her arms around his neck. He lie atop of her partly, and she ran her hand down his back, her tongue dancing in his mouth. Isshin reached over to caress her breasts, but rolled on his side before this. His hands carefully pinched and circled her nipples delicately but with enough firmness to bring them to life. She reached up and caressed him through his pants, pulling at the zipper with her other hand.
"Are you sure you want this?” the doctor whispered into her ear.
“Yes,” murmured the shopkeeper. “I have for a while.”
Slowly he bent down and gave her a soft kiss on her lips, eliciting a knot in her throat from how sweet it was. Parting from it he warned, “Just so you know, if we do this, it won’t be a onetime thing. I take such things very seriously as a man who wants to please a woman's heart as well as her body."
“I can’t make any promises, but I don’t’ want to do this with anyone else,” Ikumi whispered softly.
“Good, because I’d rather not have to send them to the hospital to have another doctor look at them,” Isshin teased, helping her remove his pants. Ikumi rolled over onto her back, pulling her panties down. The doctor rubbed her backside reverently, raising her hips up.
He reached for a condom from his wallet and she heard him shifting a bit. His fingers slipped gently into her core, scissoring. The shopkeeper bit back a yelp at this as Isshin licked and nibbled her ear. Bending down he suckled at both her nipples alternatively, pushing three then four fingers into her tight opening. She reached up and sought the hard manhood in the darkness, judging its size and hardness. Already it was covered with slick rubber.
“Careful. I want to make it easier on you,” the doctor gently reassured her, cupping her cheek.

“Are you going to say that you’re a big man to handle?” the shopkeeper couldn't resist joking as she felt his girth and length.
“Well, it’s been a while for you and I want it to feel good,” murmured Isshin, continuing to finger her.
“I can see why you’ve got three children,” she commented, caressing him with long teasing strokes.
Dark eyes widened, and he was glad that she couldn't see the blush streaking across his face. “What?”
“Never mind,” murmured Ikumi, worried she’d said something stupid. Isshin then placed his tip at her opening and kissed her on the cheek.
“It’s ok,” he whispered back. “It’s like riding a bike. You don’t forget. Now… grab my shoulders…”
Ikumi did this, intrigued by what he would do. The doctor grabbed her legs and lifted them to wrap around his waist. His member brushed her opening and Ikumi whimpered a bit as he nudged partway in. Then rocking back on his knees he seized her hips and pulled her onto him as quickly as he could. The shopkeeper’s eyes widened at the feel of him impaling her.
“Isshin,” she gasped burying her face in his shoulder.
“Oh yes, the feel of a lovely woman embracing me. Life is wonderful,” Isshin murmured, kissing her lips. Ikumi caught her breath, enjoying the slight pain of trying to stretch over him. He was bigger than the few other men she’d had for lovers, and the slow progress till he was seated perfectly inside was delicious. She rocked a bit, hearing Isshin’s whimper.
“I promise I’ll make you feel like a woman again,” he whispered. “Loved, cherished and protected…”
Every inch of Isshin’s hairy strong body tickled her, and Ikumi buried her cries in his soft sloppy kisses and strong caresses. The doctor took his time, laving her with affectionate kisses as he found a hard but slow pace that made her burn more with desire. A man who took his time and savored the way she squeezed on top of him Isshin felt so sinfully good she wanted to cry.
Then Ikumi rolled over so she sat astride him, bringing herself up and down on him till she felt herself reaching that place where she was going to scream or fly apart. Isshin reached between them to send her over the edge with but a touch.
She fell panting from a great height, his strong arms holding her all the way. Soon he let out a groan, and nipped her shoulder as he stiffened and came hard, rolling her over till she lay under him. He pulled out, but she half expected him to pull away. Instead he soon returned and his arms wrapped around her from behind as he kissed her.
“Ohh you made me feel like a man, Ikumi chan,” Isshin crowed happily.
“You big goofy idiot, you did make me feel like a woman,” the shopkeeper chuckled leaning back into his embrace as her lover pulled the covers over them both.
“Let’s do this again as soon as I get my strength back,” Isshin whispered, wrapping around her middle with his hand rubbing her belly.
Eyes wide she half laughed in disbelief, “You’re joking right? You mean you CAN go again?”
Grinning from ear to ear he bragged, “My dear young woman I AM a Kurosaki."

She was sure she must have had a strange dream because she felt too warm and comfortable to be in her own room. The shopkeeper lay face down in bed, awakening from a deep sleep. Jolting up she yelped, “Oh shit… Kaoru!”
“He’s all right,” murmured the voice next to her, holding her to his side.
“But your daughters and son, and my son…” protested Ikumi.
Arm twined possessively around her, the doctor chuckled. “My son’s gone off with his friends, and my daughters and your son are watching TV and doing homework."
“About your son. I’m worried about him,” Ikumi muttered, rolling over to face her lover.
Isshin looked down and to the side. “He’s fine. He can take care of himself…”
The shopkeeper's dark brows creased in a frown. “But are you sure? Isshin, your son’s not normal. I think you should worry. He said he met a girl and…”
“My boy I’m so proud of him!” crowed the doctor, yet he felt someone thump him in the chest hard enough to knock the wind out of him.
“Shut up and LISTEN to me!” Ikumi snapped.
"Ooow! I’m listening!” Isshin yelped. “Now would you let go of my ear please?”
Sighing, the shopkeeper did just that and rested her head on his chest, running fingers through his abundant hair. “He’s… he’s all worried about this girl named Senna, and girl named Rukia. Can’t you talk to him and give him advice?”
“Senna… did you say SENNA?” asked Isshin. “And Rukia?”
“Yes, I did,” said Ikumi, feeling him sit up in bed.
“You’re right that I should be worried,” the doctor muttered as he threw off the covers.
“Isshin?” she asked.
“I’m going to show you something that I hope you’ll be ok with. If we’re going to continue you should know this about me,” Isshin said as he kissed her.

She saw him reaching for something under the pillow. Seeing him punch himself in the face, she almost stopped him. Then something split out of his body and the shopkeeper let out a startled cry of “What the hell?” A black shape rose up over Isshin’s body. Gripping the blankets to herself with one hand she shook his body with the other. “Oi!!!”
“Ikumi can you see me?” asked a voice. She turned around to see a blurry image of Isshin standing near her, wearing black robes edged in white. Over one shoulder a strap secured a white robe that dangled down his back. She could tell there were black diamonds on the edge of it but couldn't tell if there were any other distinguishing marks.
“Isshin, what the HELL is going…” she shouted before a hand covered her mouth.
“Shh…” whispered the blurred figure, holding a finger to his lips. “I know you’re scared, but the fact you can see me makes it a little easier.”
“You mean you’re one of those….” Stammered Ikumi, squinting. “Shinigami?”
“You know about us, then?” Isshin asked, blinking.
Rolling her eyes the shopkeeper grumbled, “No wonder your son’s not normal."
"How much do you know?” asked Isshin.
“Your son’s been running off to god knows where with these guys in a group called Xcution. They mentioned something about Shinigami… and I did some reading,” said Ikumi.
“My son and Xcution?” asked Isshin, frowning.
“I don’t know if this girl Senna’s in them or not…” said Ikumi as she got out of bed and grabbed the shinigami by the front of his black robe. “Tell me what the hell’s going on!”
Isshin steadied her as she clutched his shihakusho, shaking. “Tell me what you know about Xcution and I’ll tell you what you want to know.”
“Do your daughters know what you are?” asked Ikumi as Isshin sat down on the bed next to her, surprising her that he actually shifted the weight like a living person.
“No, and I’d like to keep it that way. But Ichigo knows,” said Isshin.
The shopkeeper pointed to him and asked, “Was Ichigo a… well like you are now?”
“He was, but isn’t anymore. But you said he was involved with Xcution? And a girl named Senna?” asked Isshin.
“Yeah. Look, are you sure it’s ok for us to be up here like this and your kids and mine…” she asked. Then the doctor pulled something out of his robes and flipped the candy out of his pocket, and into the mouth of the body. Isshin's body sat up and saluted, then whistled as he looked at Ikumi. She realized she was naked and punched him in the head.
“Go down and look after the girls,” said Isshin to his other self.
“Righto! I gotcha boss!” crowed the other ‘Isshin’, quickly putting on clothes. As he did so he gave Ikumi a lovely view of his toned butt and thighs so she blushed deeply.
However the black and white clothed figure tossed a robe over Ikumi and she put it on. Glaring up at him she muttered, “What’s THAT?”
Arms folded across his chest, he explained, “My ‘gigai’… my physical body with a mod soul in it. It pretends to be me while I’m in shinigami form so nobody gets suspicious."
Belting up the robe Ikumi frowned. “My son’s going to wonder how I am. I’ve been up here an awfully long time…”
“Actually he’s fallen asleep on the couch and Ichigo’s put him to bed in his room,” chuckled Isshin.
“Why didn’t you say that earlier?” Ikumi growled.
