*~*~*~*
Stepping inside of the building, Yoshino wondered just why her target had come to a rather large warehouse. She had learned that it was split into four sections, all with their own entrances but none of them with a connecting. Nothing in the data had told her that Hanatoru Yamada was renting one of the areas, so she was being cautious about entering, even as she closed the door behind her.
Licking her lips, Yoshino looked around, finding that it was open, but there were quite a few boxes in small piles, most marked ‘fabric’ and others that were marked with some interesting labels. It was almost as if it was Lolitas Dreams storage area for what looked to be things for Uryuu designs and seasonal things.
“No wonder we found no information on this place,” she breathed, eyes narrowing. Shifting her bracelets, she listened to the echo and pinpointed her target and two others on the far side of the building, making her smirk. Moving to where she knew the smallest target was, she pulled out her gun and checked the silencer. Finding that it was as good as she thought it was, she wrapped a sound silencer around her gun and bullet, preparing to fire as she slipped around a pile of boxes, bringing it up and aiming.
The sight of the manikin was not what she wanted to see, nor did she want to see a smirking Ikkaku standing before a frowning Hanatoru.
“If looks as if she fell for it,” Hanatoru sighed, shaking his head and flicking a switch that apparently turned the manikin into just that. “Not to mention that she would follow such a man, especially since he did lie to her for so long. Especially since she could have left a long time ago,” he continued, shaking his head. Yoshino narrowed her eyes and aimed at the small male as she shifted on her feet.
Suddenly Ikkaku moved, showing his ability in speed as he rushed her. Grabbing the arm that held her gun, he twisted it up and around her back, making her yowl in surprised pain as she fell to her knees and drop her gun.
“Now, now, none of that,” Ikkaku drawled, eyes sparkling as he slipped the cuff around her wrist. She choked on her air as the feeling of air and sound vibrations went dead, leaving an echoing emptiness within her.
“What…what is that? What did you do to me?” she asked, voice trembling as Ikkaku let her go. He knew that she wouldn’t be attacking any time soon, not with the shock of her abilities being sealed away. He still picked up her gun and started to take it apart, putting them into various pockets in his clothes.
“It’s a specially designed cuff to seal off a Talent’s ability. When we started to catch more Talents, or rather when the Homicide Specialty Unit started to, we needed something to stop a Talent from using their abilities against those who had to watch them,” the bald man drawled, shoving his hands into his pockets. She was playing with the cuffs, making a noise when she couldn’t get them off. “Something to do with a persons electrical charges in their body being disrupted enough to seal things away. It won’t come off until someone takes it off. I don’t know who though.”
“It’s actually quite interesting, all things considered. Once removed, the Talents abilities go back to a normal flow through their bodies,” Hanatoru chirped, smiling at Yoshino, who just whimpered again.
“Why didn’t you just shoot me?” she asked, jumping in surprise when Shunsui appeared suddenly, holding a fairly thick file, dropping it onto the ground before her as he walked over to the other two.
They watched as she dragged the file towards her and opened it up. They all knew it was Jins file and they were just waiting for the moment the information contained within the file to truly sink in. They had a feeling that she would react badly, especially since the information they had gotten named her Jins rival and most likely to go after him with murder in mind.
They just hoped that she didn’t try to do that since they really did want to catch the leader of the Bounts.
“No, this can’t be true,” she breathed, hands shaking as she shifted through the pages of neatly typed history and pictures that had been copied.
“I’m afraid that it is,” Shunsui said, tipping his head back as he stroked his chin. “He’s been lying to all of you for years now; been lying to everyone who has met him in all of the years that he’s been alone and had his Talent. I believe that it’s been his longest run con.”
“That…bastard,” Yoshino groaned, tears gathering as she slipped her bracelets off. “What all of your information misses is that I knew him, grew up with him in part. I met him about a year after his parents died when I had started at that school. He was nice but he rubbed me so wrong, yet I still wanted to be around him. I still wanted to be friends with him,” she said, eyes sad.
“What happened after that?” Hanatoru asked, moving closer to her to pick up a picture of a young Jin standing before the burnt out shell of his parents’ home.
“We became close and when I learned about my abilities, he helped me learn how to control them, how to expand them and use them in new ways,” she replied, blinking her eyes a few times, plucking up one picture. It was Jin, but this time there was a young girl of about 12, both of them scowling at the other. “This was taken when we were just getting close. We had tied for first place on our mid-term exams so we had to share the top spot until finals.”
“He’s done more than lied to you. He betrayed you,” Hanatoru hummed, Yoshino nodding as she wiped her eyes with the back of her hands.
“Yeah. I think I need to do something now,” she said, picking up a bracelet that was linked parts, snapping it into a straight line. As she did that, she lunged upwards, wrapping her arm around Hanatoru shoulders, holding her sudden weapon up to his throat. “Ah! Stay back,” she snarled, eyes glistening. Hanatoru smiled, a bit strained, and waved a hand.
“Back off, you guys,” he said. “I don’t think she’s gonna hurt me at the moment,” he shared as Yoshino started walking backwards, taking him with. Ikkaku snarled and kept pace with her, taking a step when she did.
“Ryuuken-san will kill me if you get hurt, that is before he tosses me in with rabid weasels,” he said, making Hanatoru smile and shrug his shoulders as much as he could in Yoshinos hold.
“Just stay put, Ikkaku-san, Shunsui-san. I’ll be fine, don’t worry,” Hanatoru soothed as they disappeared around the boxes. “What do you plan on doing, Yoshino-san?” he asked as they moved through the box maze towards the exit, the woman listening closely for any signs that the two were coming after them.
“I will fix this problem once and for all. I know a few of the Bounts have been very put off since we started this mission. Only Mabashi and Ugaki enjoy killing young children; the rest of us felt odd about doing it,” she replied, stopping to listen before continuing heading for the exit.
“I have a question, Yoshino-san. Who left the saliva? Someone keeps licking your victims,” Hanatoru asked quietly as they found the door finally.
“Ugaki, occasionally Mabashi would lick them. They said that they liked the taste of their victims’ deaths. Something about the sweetness of fear lingering on their skin,” Yoshino stated, pushing him against the wall next to the door, staring at him. “I don’t know how you found out about us and our abilities, but I’m glad you gave me the information you have. I’m sorry that I followed the perverted idiot, but I’m going to fix it. Try not to follow me but tell your body guards that I will give myself up when they find me again,” she said, Hanatoru nodding his head. “Good.”
With that, she smiled before tossing him onto a box marked ‘cloth’, Hanatoru yelling out in surprise. Yoshino jerked open the door and quickly left, finding her car and driving off to deal with Jin.
“Hanatoru!” Ikkaku called when he heard the yell, running to the door and finding the small male laying on a partially crushed box, looking surprised about his toss.
“I’m fine, Ikkaku-san,” he said, smiling slightly, allowing Shunsui to haul him off of the box and set him on his feet.
“Where’s Yoshino?” Shunsui asked, gazing at the open door way with a wary look on his face.
“She left. She said that when you find her again, she’ll give up, but first she has to fix something. I think she’s going after Jin before he can hurt Ichi-chan,” Hanatoru said, gazing up at Ikkaku as Shunsuis phone started to ding rather quickly. Checking the messages, he sighed and looked up at his companions.
“The others caught their targets and Ichigos part has happened. They’re following his tracker now. Be warned, Orihime did get away,” Shunsui stated, frowning heavily.
”Damn. Come on. Hanatoru-kun, head to Ryuuken-san in Shunsui-sans car. My car has everything,” Ikkaku stated, the smaller male nodding and taking Shunsuis car keys. “Shunsui-san, call them and warn ‘em about what happened here.”
“Already doing it,” was the reply, the three heading to the cars after locking up the warehouse.
“Good luck, you two,” Hanatoru stated as he watched Ikkakus car peel away. “You two are going to need it, especially if Ichigo-chan gets pissed off.”
