Chapter 21 - Fascination
As soon as Grimmjow entered, all eyes were set on him. He briefly wondered if they knew Aizen asked him to bring the Shinigami to the meeting.
"Grimmjow, please invite our guest inside," said Aizen, his remark being followed by a few of the Espadas whispering amongst themselves. Well, that answered his question, he thought, and called the Shinigami inside. As soon as Ichigo entered he couldn't help but feel extremely vulnerable. He couldn't sense reiatsu but he knew they were strong, in fact, he could even recognize some of them, like the huge Yammy guy, the always emotionless Ulquiorra, the annoying scientist and the asshole who laughed at him and wanted to eat him, but he couldn't remember the names of those two. As he took a better look though, he also remembered seeing the guy sitting next to Ulquiorra, it was the one who interfered when he was desperately trying to harm Ichimaru Gin for what he had done to him. Ulquiorra looked as impassive as ever, Yammy seemed angry considering he was gripping the end of the table so hard his knuckled were turning white and the scientist just had that mad look in his eyes, like he was observing some sort of interesting experiment. The guy with the eye-patch though just appeared to not give a damn as he couldn't even bother to look at him. As for the rest, they were either curious about him or they were simply ignoring him. "My dear Espadas, meet Kurosaki Ichigo, the human who succeeded in acquiring Shinigami powers and afterwards fought on par with some of the captains in Soul Society," said Aizen, noticing how some finally became curious enough to take a look at him. Nnoitra thought it was a good opportunity to have a good laugh at the expense of a certain fellow Espada he couldn't really stand. "That somewhat explains how Yammy lost his arm to that kid over there," he said laughing. Yammy immediately jumped like he had just been burnt, anger quickly taking over him. "He took me by surprise, so shut the hell up! What do ya even know?" he yelled and dropped his first on the stone table so hard it slightly cracked under the pressure. Ichigo was trying to look as small as possible, hoping the others would fight amongst themselves and forget all about him, but that wasn't the case as soon enough he started to become dizzy because of what he assumed was reiatsu attacking him, further weakening his already frail body. "I know that garbage like you Yammy can't even win against this shitty kid. You're a bloody disgrace," continued Nnoitra, further angering Yammy. He knew he had won the moment the 10th Espada lashed at the poor unsuspecting kid who turned even paler than he already was. He really couldn't understand how he managed the injure Yammy. Either Yammy was a complete weakling or the kid was really something. Of course he did manage to fight some of the Captains in Soul Society but perhaps they were just that weak. There was no way a human could become so strong. For a moment he actually felt disappointment thinking he'd get bored while fighting those weak Shinigami Captains who couldn't even capture a human adolescent. He inwardly laughed at how pathetic Yammy was, desperately trying to harm the human by raising his reiatsu. On the other side of the table, Ulquiorra merely observed the scene before him, knowing that Aizen would interfere when he saw fit. Starrk looked at the prisoner with pity, he really felt sorry for him. Perhaps he was a strong warrior when he needed to be but he reminded him of Lilinette. In his eyes, Kurosaki Ichigo was just a scared adolescent, but his hands were tied, there was nothing he could do to help him. He spared him one last look then turned his head away, hoping things wouldn't get any worse than they already were for the Shinigami. On the other hand, Grimmjow was furious, he didn't like others attacking his property like that, but Aizen wasn't saying anything, which meant that he approved of what the other was doing, and if he was to be honest with himself, the last thing he needed at that moment was to anger Aizen like earlier that day. He decided to stay silent and watch as Ichigo was desperately struggling to not collapse on the floor. He almost laughed at the irony, both him and the Shinigami ending up in such a situation on the same day. Ichigo was doing his best to stay on his feet. The reiatsu wouldn't have weakened him so if he didn't have the collar and if he wasn't injured so badly but as things were at that moment, all he could do was give his best and try to remain standing. Sweat started to form on his forehead and roll down his face from the exertion, and he clenched his teeth so hard it hurt, but he was decided not to lose to the brute creature called Yammy. After what felt like an eternity to Ichigo, Aizen finally spoke. "Yammy, I don't believe it is appropriate to attack our guest this way, so please refrain from future actions such as this." He looked the 10th Espada in the eyes, knowing that he had basically ordered him to stay away from the Shinigami indefinitely. That applied to everyone else in there as well, since he didn't want any more trouble like the one that arose from Yammy taking it upon himself to kill the Shinigami after Aizen had gone through the trouble of having him brought to Las Noches. Now, there was one more thing he needed to make clear. "Grimmjow is to take care of our guest so please don't cause him any more trouble regarding this issue like you have in the past." That was it, he said it and now he knew these animals he called Espadas knew to stay away from his hostage. Ulquiorra would keep Grimmjow away from inflicting even more damage than he already have, and the other Espadas would stay away because they were ordered to do so. As soon as Yammy's reiatsu lowered Ichigo felt like a weight had been lifted off his body and he could breath again. "Aizen-sama, may I be allowed to speak?" a voice suddenly disturbed the silence that took over the entire crowd. "Yes Szayel, what is it?" asked Aizen, his usual smile not leaving his features even for a second. "May I be allowed to perform a few tests on the human Kurosaki Ichigo? It isn't natural for a human to become this strong and as such I am curious to find out what is the mystery behind his strength. If I were to take into consideration what had just happened, I can tell even without any testing that it wasn't normal for him to be able to stand after the reiatsu Yammy had released when attacking him. Of course it didn't feel much for the rest of us but we must take into consideration that he is wearing a reiatsu suppressing collar that not only does it stop him from using his own powers but also from sensing any other reiatsu, so even thought he can't sense reiatsu, it doesn't mean he isn't supposed to be affected by it. His body felt the effects, but not nearly as much as I expected. Will you please allow me to do so Aizen-sama?" Grimmjow growled. "There's no way I'm letting you touch him!" He raised an arm in front of Ichigo, as if protecting him, managing to get a few raised eyebrows from some of the other Espadas. He immediately realized his mistake and tried to not look as foolish as he had looked only a few moments before, desperately trying to find a good excuse for his behavior. "Szayel, do I look like someone who would let others touch his property?" Aizen was amused, something that didn't happen very often. He would let the scene play out and only interfere if need be. A mocking laugh escaped Szayel's mouth. "Property or not, the human-Shinigami hybrid is Aizen-sama's guest, and as such it is ultimately his decision whether he will allow the tests to be performed or not." He defiantly looked Grimmjow in the eyes and elegantly tapped a finger against the side of his glasses, waiting to see what else Grimmjow had to say. "You just want to take him apart and study him for your own sick pleasure. I won't allow it!" snarled Grimmjow, baring his teeth at the scientist. Szayel ignored the 6th childish reply. It was up to their leader to decide. "Aizen-sama?" Aizen almost felt disappointed their fight didn't last longer, craving for sny kind of entertainment inside the boring walls of Las Noches. Szayel's proposal seemed interesting though. Of course he knew the reason for Kurosaki Ichigo's strength, but perhaps this was a good opportunity to get him away from Grimmjow's clutches once in a while. "Can I trust you not to permanently damage him?" finally spoke Aizen and watched how Szayel's face lit up as if he was a small child who had just been given candy. "Yes, Aizen-sama! I give you my word that he will not be permanently damaged!" answered Szayed enthusiastically. It was then when Ichigo finally snapped, not being able to stand the way they were talking about him as if he wasn't even there to begin with. He slightly pushed Grimmjow aside, who made no move to stop him, then walked to the table as fast as he could and hit it with his fist, instantly regretting it as pain shot through his injured arm. "Cut the crap, it's making me sick!" he finally said when everyone stared at him. "I'm a guest here? Stop with the act, I'm a prisoner and everyone here knows it." Ichigo stopped talking to take another deep breath, seeing how his weak body didn't allow him much freedom when it come to almost anything. Aizen didn't expect Ichigo's outburst, but he didn't mind it either, if anything, he just wanted to have a longer conversation with the teen. "Everyone here is free to go, I believe this meeting has served its purpose and there is no further reason to keep you here from what I assume are your busy schedules. The next meeting is in a week from now, same time." Some nodded, some replied with a yes, but quickly enough they were all gone, the only ones left in the room being Aizen, Ichigo and Grimmjow, who absolutely despised the idea of leaving his pet alone with that sadist. "Grimmjow, you may leave as well," said Aizen only a few moments later when he figured the 6th was reluctant to leave. As much as he hated it, Grimmjow finally left, barely restraining his anger as he Sonido-ed out of the room. Aizen took a good look at the teen before him who appeared to be much weaker than when he last saw him in Soul Society. He was barely keeping himself on his feet, shaking from the effort of having to stand, and he was also much paler. If Aizen had to describe him in a word, he'd say he looked sick. "You may sit down," he finally said, realizing that the teen couldn't stand much longer in his state. He also couldn't help but notice after he sit down how dead his eyes seemed. It was the look he was hoping to see once he attacked Karakura Town, but because of Grimmjow everything changed. His spirit had been broken much sooner than he had anticipated. He raised his hand then rested his head on it, intently watching how the orange haired teen was nervously fidgeting around. Ichigo was indeed nervous, regretting his earlier outburst. Why did Aizen send everyone away? What exactly did he want to talk about that no one else could hear? The only good thing that came out of it was that he was able to sit down, collapsing in front of everyone there being the last thing he wanted. At least Aizen didn't humiliate him by making him stand until he couldn't anymore, and for that he was grateful. Of course he could've sat down without an invitation as well but as things were, he didn't dare cross Aizen even if it was something so unimportant. His thought were interrupted when the other began to speak. "I apologize, I didn't wish to embarrass you so I assumed 'guest' was a much better word than 'prisoner'. Will you forgive me?" The former Shinigami almost looked sincere making Ichigo even more worried than he already was. He knew the man was a sadistic bastard who enjoyed playing with other people's minds and he absolutely refused to fall for any of his mind tricks, that one time with Gin being more than enough. Aizen noticed how the other's face suddenly darkened. "What is the matter? Have I said something to upset you?" Ichigo snapped again, hitting his fist on the table just as he had done before, but he ignored the pain, he was far too angry. "You know very well what I am unhappy about! Don't pretend you don't know anything, because I'm sure you do," he almost yelled, his eyebrows furrowing, something which would have given him an almost dangerous look if only the rest of him didn't betray how weak he really was. "I'm not sure what you might be referring to exactly," Aizen stated almost innocently. "About what Grimmjow did to me and will most likely do again!" Aizen was amused, seeing him despair over it was really entertaining. "And what would that be?" he continued, further increasing Ichigo's anger. Ichigo's shoulders sagged, his head lowered, and a few moments later he grabbed his head, the pain of remembering what Grimmjow had done to him being too much for him to bear. He was in pain, his soul was crying. "He... he... raped me," he finally managed to say after a few minutes of trying to find the courage to say the word. "Ah, so that's what you are referring to," Aizen immediately replied. "I believe that's not how Grimmjow sees it. He could've taken your life but he spared it and now he is under the impression that you belong to him." "I don't care!" Ichigo yelled, his voices laced with pain. "Even if we are enemies and even if you are a traitor, do you think it's right to treat your prisoners this way? Soul Society would never do such a thing. How can you send me to stay with the monster who... who raped me?" Ichigo's voice cracked towards the end of the sentence. He felt exhausted. "I can't just interfere between an animal and its prey," stated Aizen calmly. Ichigo raised his head and looked the man in the eyes. "You're a bastard Aizen. You're a fucking sadist, a sick psychopath who would torture a human being just for the pleasure of it. I was wrong in hoping I could have a serious conversation with you. It's painfully obvious that you are oblivious to the damage you are causing everyone around you." "Is that all?" finally asked Aizen. His mask didn't seem to work in front of the one before him, as he could see right through him. He was wrong about one thing though, he knew exactly the damage he was causing to those around him and he thoroughly enjoyed it. "No. There's one more thing," said Ichigo tiredly. "What might that be?" "Is requesting to be executed as a prisoner of war be asking for too much?" "I can't allow such a thing to happen. Grimmjow is quite violent and unpredictable, and with you gone he would have nothing left to distract himself with," said Aizen and observed Ichigo's face. He didn't seem surprised by his answer, in fact, it was as if he was expecting it. Then something crossed his mind. "But perhaps I can find something else to entertain the 6th Espada... Inoue Orihime sounds like a good choice, and her ability would be useful for our side." Ichigo's eyes widened in disbelief at Aizen's words, wondering if the bastard would be capable of going that far. He opened his mouth to say something but no words came out. He closed it again and swallowed the lump in his throat. As sweet as death sounded to him he could never welcome it if someone else was to take his place in this hell. He'd rather let Grimmjow do anything to him than to have him unleashed upon Orihime. And yet, to his own horror, for a split second he considered accepting. He was disgusted with himself, at how weak and desperate he had become. His head started to hurt even more and his dizziness suddenly became a lot worse. Aizen immediately noticed the hazy look in his eyes. "Do you wish to go back now?" Ichigo immediately got up, wanting nothing more than to get away from Aizen as soon as possible. "I'm sure you can find your way back," Aizen said, got up and left the room. If he was sure of one thing, it was that Ichigo would definitely go back to Grimmjow's room and not attempt to escape after what he had just suggested. Ichigo staggered out of the room, not even noticing the blood running from his nose, the only thing he could feel being the splitting headache. He was beginning to fear he wouldn't be able to make it back to the room and then Grimmjow would be mad at him and punish him for it. Everything around him seemed to be slowly spinning, so he leaned on the nearest wall and started dragging his weakened body along it. Not even a minute after he reached the hallway he had to stop and catch his breath, the dizziness suddenly becoming much worse than before. The fact that he had a nosebleed or that a small stream of blood was starting to trickle out of his mouth and down his chin was oblivious to him, his body feeling numb except for the headache. "Oh look what we have here," a voice echoed through the hallway, but Ichigo didn't hear, he couldn't hear. It was Loly, quite upset about how the human was allowed in the meeting room while her and Menoly weren't even permitted to set a foot inside. "What do you think it's so special about him Menoly, that everyone fusses over him simply being here?" Menoly was nervous though, somehow it didn't feel right to mess with him. He was Grimmjow's pet after all and she wasn't in the mood to enquire his wrath by doing something that would upset him. "I think we'd better leave," she quietly whispered, as is fearing someone would hear her. "I'm not leaving till I teach this fool a lesson in pain!" she snapped and stomped from behind Ichigo only to grab him by the arm and push him into the wall. "How dare you ignore me?" She screamed in his face, since to her it seemed like he was completely ignoring her when in fact he wasn't even capable of comprehending what was happening around him, his vision turning darker by the second. Ichigo was vaguely aware that something or someone had stopped him but through the blur he couldn't exactly tell. He coughed, some blood droplets landing on Loly's face. "I'm going to kill this bastard!" she screamed in anger, raising her fist to punch him in the face, but before she managed to hit him, Yammy's dog bit her by the leg, forcing her to stop mid-swing." She shook her leg, trying to get rid of the dog which had its teeth firmly planted in her skin, but with no success. "Menoly, get rid of this pest," she said and pointed at her leg. It didn't exactly hurt her too much but she didn't want to touch Yammy's disgusting pet. The other female Arrancar tried to put her hand on it but before she could she was grabbed by the wrist. She looked up to see a light pink eye harshly staring at her. "Hey, what are you two doing? Leave him alone," she said and pushed Menoly away. In the meantime the dog also let go of Loly's ankle and started licking Ichigo's blood from the floor, happily wagging his tail around. Unlike Menoly, Loly wasn't so easy to scare away. "Why do you care what we do with this human? Just because you are Starrk's Fraccion you think you're anything special?" she said and tried to elbow Lilinette in the face. Lilinette wasn't nearly as strong as Starrk but she was sure that her strength was more than enough to get rid of the two annoying female Arrancars if the need arose. Dodging Loly's elbow was easy, and before Loly could even realize what was happening Lilinette punched her on the side of her stomach and forced her to let go of Ichigo who immediately collapsed on the floor. "Now scram before I get angry," Lilinette ordered, proud of how she handled the situation even though Starrk wasn't around. She watched as Menoly tried to convince the dark haired one to leave but Loly didn't even want to listen. "Get lost if you're such a coward," she snapped at Menoly who in the meantime ran away, and then got on her feet. Loly was so angry that she was decided to fight Starrk's Fraccion to the death if need be. She simply couldn't let that pink eyed bitch order her around. "We'll see who has the last word!" but before she managed to change to her Ressurection form, a powerful reiatsu washed over them, immediately making her shiver in fear. "Lilinette... Lilinette... where are you?" a lazy voice echoed through the hallway. Soon enough he saw her, protectively standing in front of the human, facing a female Arrancar who at that moment seemed to be frozen in place. "What are you doing here?" "Oh, nothing really, we're just talking, aren't we?" she lied, as she was not in the mood to bother Starrk with something so unimportant. Loly simply nodded, her eyes still wide, as if expecting to be obliterated at any second. "Now shoo," she said to Loly as if she was talking to a dog. The dark haired female Arrancar opened her mouth to say something but closed it back and staggered away from there, vowing to take revenge on Starrk's Fraccion for the way she had treated her. Starrk was no fool, he knew he had just stopped a battle to the death from happening but what was really peaking his curiosity was why did Lilinette protect Kurosaki Ichigo. "Is he alright?" he asked pointing at the teenager who was almost passed out on the floor, moaning in pain. The smaller Arrancar turned around to look at the guy next to her, and noticed how the puppy was still happily licking around his blood. "Uhh, I'm not sure, but the puppy seems to like him so I think I like him too!" she beamed. Starrk smiled at her enthusiasm, if Lilinette was happy then so was he, but as things were he didn't exactly like how the human looked, he really appeared to be quite sick. "He isn't looking too well, so how about we take him to see Szayel?" Stark asked and proceeded to pick up Ichigo from the floor. "NO!" Lilinette yelled, firmly planting her foot on the floor as if she was a small child throwing a tantrum. "That crazy scientist doesn't like the puppy and he always goes around screaming how he wants to kill it. I don't wanna see him," she finished, crossing her arms in front of her chest and looking away from Starrk, as if the wall on her left had something really interesting written or painted all over it. "I'll make sure he will not do anything to the dog and besides, this human needs immediate help and he's the best there is. You said so yourself, the puppy likes this guy so if he dies then the puppy will be sad, won't it?" She slowly turned her head around and looked Starrk in the eyes. "You promise?" "Yes, I promise, now let's go." He turned around and slowly walked all the way to Szayel's lab. He could've Sonido-ed away but he wasn't sure it was such a good idea with the teen in such a bad state of health. He looked at the bundle in his arms, noticing how the blood was slowly staining his immaculate shirt, but he wasn't worried about that. He was more curious as to what was happening to the human. "Lilinette, pick up the pace, we have to hurry." "Aye, aye, Captain!" she firmly replied, easily keeping up with Stark's pace. By the time they all got to Szayel's lag, Ichigo was unconscious. As soon as the scientist saw who Starrk was carrying with him after one of his assistants told him who was there to see him, he nearly jumped in joy. Seeing the Shinigami in his lab was like a dream come true, it was something he has been waiting for ever since he learned of his existence. His happiness was short-lived though as he soon noticed Yammy's dog in the arms of the little girl. Of course there had to be something to ruin his good mood. "Do not let that creature run around this lab! Do you understand?" he yelled at Lilinette, wanting to make sure she got the message. For some odd reason that girl had taken a liking in Yammy's pet and he was tired of seeing her prancing around the halls of Las Noches each time he got out of his lab, with the Hollow dog following her ever step. "Calm down Szayel, I'll make sure nothing gets destroyed, you just take a look at him," Starrk tried to reassure the scientist before he got angry enough and threw another one of his usual fits. Szayel glared one last time at Lilinette and the dog, then turned around and pointed at a table in the middle of the spacious lab. "Put him there." He watched as Starrk did as he was told then he immediately picked up a syringe to take a sample of his blood, something he had wanted to do for a long time. "I believe that can wait, since you have already been given permission to conduct your tests on him," Starrk said, knowing that if Szayel got lost in his world he would completely forget about the well-being of the patient. Szayel snorted. He wasn't so far gone as to forget that he had to see what was wrong with the patient, but he needed the blood-work done if he wanted to clearly asses the situation. "You can go now." Lilinette opened her mouth to protest but before she could Stark interfered. "I believe Lilinette would like us to stay." "Fine, whatever, go sit over there," Szayel snapper, waving a dismissive hand towards the two. Lilinette picked up the dog and cradled it to her chest as she sat down on a chair, Starrk almost immediately falling asleep next to her. She rolled her eyes at Starrk's predictable behavior. How could someone be so lazy? It was his fault she was always bored. "Why do you always have to sleep so much?" she asked, pouting as she watched Starrk's sleepy face. "I'll just rest my eyes for a bit, wake me up when he's done." Starrk closed his eyes, his last thought before falling asleep being how did he manage to get himself involved into this situation. The small Arrancar kept fidgeting on her seat the entire time Szayel treated Ichigo. She watched carefully, trying to see if the Espada was doing something to hurt the orange haired teen she wanted to talk to once he'd be awake. For some strange reason she found him to be interesting, ever since he heard about this human who fought Yammy and managed to injure him. She neither liked nor disliked the 10th Espada, the only thing she had in common with him being the love for the small Hollow puppy they both shared. At least that's what she liked to think. Yammy didn't outwardly said he loved the puppy but he never allowed the other Espadas to hurt it and because of that she was happy, the dog often being her only companion while Starrk was asleep. She didn't like the other Espadas, as they were either ignoring her or they were plain mean. Their Fraccions weren't any better either, so now seeing how there was someone new around she really wanted to talk to him, to see how the human was, and most importantly if he would spend time with her once in a while so that she'd be less bored. As far as she could see Szayel wasn't doing anything extremely suspicious although she couldn't help but wonder a few times how some of the things he was doing could possibly be related to him treating his patient. She should've asked Starrk what he meant when he said the 8th Espada had been permitted to perform tests on him. She yawned, Starrk's laziness rubbing off on her. "And... I'm done!" Szayel suddenly exclaimed causing her to jump in surprise. "Really?" Lilinette got on her feet, put the dog down on the chair and rushed to Ichigo's side, wanting to see for herself if he was really doing well or if the scientist was just messing with her. Szayel put on an offended look on his face when he heard her question. "Of course! Did you have doubts that I wouldn't be able to fix him?" She smiled nervously, realizing that she might've offended the 8th Espada."Uhh... ohh... he looked pretty bad and from what I know humans are really fragile." "Ah, but he's not really a human!" Szayel exclaimed, waving in front of her a tube of what appeared to be blood. He then looked at the tube from up close, as if staring at it would reveal some sort of secret. "I always thought it was strange how he could possess such power when he is only a human teenager. From what we know he successfully managed to fight and win against Kuchiki Byakuya, one of the strongest Captains of Gotei 13. And not only that, he also fought Zaraki Kenpachi and survived! This boy is the most interesting specimen I have seen in a very long time and I can't wait to confirm my suspicions." "Aizen-sama said he's human," Lilinette interfered, cutting off Szayel who seemed lost in his own thoughts. Szayel shook his head in a definite no. "He can't be human alone, of that I am sure." Lilinette took her eyes off the Espada and set them on the sleeping form that lay on the table on her left. Even though Ichigo was not conscious, his expression was one of someone who was in a great deal of pain. He wondered what had happened to him to have such a sleeping face, unlike Starrk who always looked relaxed when he dozed off. "Girl!" Szayel suddenly screamed, startling Lilinette and waking up Starrk. " Take care of that dog! Look, he's running around the lab! Either you put a stop to its rampage or I will kill it!" Lilinette didn't have to be told twice. She got up from the chair she was sitting next to Ichigo and not even a few seconds later the puppy was safe in her arms, happy that he wasn't hearing Szayel's screech which hurt his sensitive hearing. "I'm going to run a few tests on the blood I have collected so don't do anything stupid until I come back." After she saw her nod her head, the 8th left through some door on the far corner of the lab. Starrk finally found the motivation to open his eyes and get up. He was curious how Kurosaki Ichigo was doing. Lilinette eyes were transfixed on Ichigo, so much that she didn't even notice when Starrk walked towards her, then stopped behind her. She did notice however when he put a hand on her shoulder. "Starrk, look, look!" she insisted. "What exactly am I supposed to be looking at?" "Look how many scars he has! Here, and here and oh, look even here." She proceeded to show Starrk every scar she was able to see, which were quite a few on his chest and abdomen. Starrk sighed, Szayel really couldn't see him as a patient but as an experiment. He left him freezing on a cold metal table while he went away doing whatever he was doing. The human's shirt had been bloodied but he was sure Szayel could've found something to cover him up if he wanted. At least it didn't look like Szayel had dome something irreversible to him. Now it was up to Grimmjow to take care of him, since the human was his. He yawned; he was still sleepy. "My job here is done. Do you want to go back?" Lilinette turned an angry face at him. "No! I want to stay here until he wakes up." Her voice lowered though when she spoke again. "Can I? I will be good, I promise." "Sure you can," Starrk said and patted her on the head. "Just don't annoy Szayel too much, you know how he is when he gets angry. Ah, and cover him with something, he must be freezing." She turned around and hugged Starrk tightly, almost squashing the puppy in the process. "I won't!" and she smiled, that beautiful smile that Starrk always enjoyed seeing on her face, because if she was happy than so was he.TBC
