No obvious, glaring danger in the world could keep you from the siren song of brightly flashing arcs of raw electricity. It really is shocking (ha!) that you’ve even made it this far. You skip down the stone steps, two at a time, and bounce over to the tesla coil, hair standing on edge.
“Hey, Igor, I mean, Nemu, who let this specimen loose?” comes a creepy voice from behind you. You turn and see DR VICTOR MAYURI-STIEN wearing giant black goggles and a white coat. He’s holding a huge set of clamps on one hand and a large, evil looking syringe in the other. You wave your hands in front of you, trying to explain.
“Hey-y-y fellow science lover, I just came down here to check out your super sweet lab. Are those cloning tubes? That is a-mazing. I totally dig the atmosphere. I am a huge fan of your work.”
DR MAYURI-STIEN keeps approaching. “Oh how wonderful. I am always thrilled to make the acquaintance of my fans. Well, you are in luck, because you are about to have an essential role in my newest experiment.”
You feel a pinch on the side of your neck and everything goes black. When you wake up you wonder why someone has strapped green glasses over your eyes. Maybe it’s to keep out some kind of special radiation? You move your hands to take them off but you realize you don’t have hands. Or arms. Or a body. You realize that you are now just a head floating in a jar of green goop. Suddenly an earth-shattering bang shakes you completely into consciousness.
“Oh, look who’s awake! Hello there sweetheart! Wakey wakey, we have a lot of work to do today!” says DR MAYURI-STIEN, continuing to tap the glass of your jar.
Here’s hoping you like fish food. Maybe don’t go barreling into the creepy lab next time.
