I felt they needed a first-crush scenario.

Drabble #18: Shuuhei and Ichigo

The first time Ichigo laid eyes on the man, he felt like he'd botched his timing and been nailed by his father's foot again. What was that phrase? Tough love? Right. But it couldn't apply to someone he'd only just seen, could it?
It could, because the second time he saw the man was in the war; his heart skipped a beat before pounding faster.
Maybe he was tired of waiting, because when Ichigo regained his powers, the lieutenant dropped by and shook his hand, smiling. "Hisagi Shuuhei."
Tongue-tied, Ichigo managed, "I'm -"
"I know. Nice to finally meet you."
