The following morning started the same way every morning did for Bikou and Ishi, though Ishi had no idea how she had gotten home and Bikou had yet to sleep for her mind couldn’t stop fighting with itself over what to do. Yet beside that the two met at the normal spot to continue on to the meeting place.
“What happened to you?” asked Ishi curiously, “You aren’t looking to great.” Bikou glared at the girl, “I couldn’t sleep because someone…screwed up the pills!” she replied angrily, “You are lucky I was there to get you out of there at all!” her lie fell out without her even thinking. The girl frowned and looked away before thanking the girl with a small nod, “Wh…what happened after Matsumoto and I went out?” her words trembled as if afraid to hear what Bikou had to say. The blue haired woman trembled at the question, though managed to keep most of her reaction to herself, “You two passed out, and the Arrancar and I both got one of the other pills….” Ishi grinned, “Did you get anything out of him?” The girl gulped and remembered the sensation of the man’s seed pouring down her throat, “N...not really, I didn’t know what to ask him.” Ishi frowned at her response but nodded anyway, “I guess you couldn’t have really asked him if he had any weaknesses…it can’t be helped I suppose.” The girl shrugged and started toward the meeting area. Bikou bit her lip and followed, it felt wrong keeping what actually happened to herself…but at the same time she couldn’t help but hide her own actions. ~~~ Grimmjow awoke the next morning to Rangiku moaning lightly. “My head Grimmy…I think I drank to much…” she said in a weak tone, “I can’t even remember most of the night…” Grimmjow smirked ever so lightly and slid his arm around the woman’s waist, “Ah well, just means you had a good time.” He smirked at the woman’s small smile. “I guess so huh Grimmy…” she turned with that seductive smirk that made him shudder every time, “I guess I owe you that favor then huh?” “Damn right…” he grinned deviously, “But later…you look terrible.” His grinned widened. Matsumoto pounced quickly and as usual had the man in a head lock before he could even start laughing, her finger pinched and tugged at one of his cheeks roughly, “Terrible huh!” she yelled, “Lets see how you look after a beat you to death!” yet she was smiling and the Arrancar couldn’t help but cackle at the reaction he had gotten. Eventually the two got out of bed, Rangiku was a Vice-Captain after all…and even someone as playful as her had to do work every so often. Once Matsumoto finished showering and dressing the two headed back out on their daily trek across the division headquarters. They arrived first, as always at the captain’s quarters. “Good morning captain!” greeted Rangiku warmly as she entered. “Good morning Matsumoto.” Replied Toshiro without looking up from his paperwork. “Toshiro!” started the Arrancar before plopping down on a couch in one corner of the room as he usually did, “Don’t you ever do anything but work?” “Grimmjow…” the captain began his eye twitching in annoyance, “You are an underling…and you should be calling me something more formal.” Grimmjow chuckled, “Fine…Shinigami…” This only made Toshiro’s eye twitch more, “I will hurt you…” Grimmjow only grinned at him, “Liar…” Matsumoto giggled, “He’s got you there Captain, you threaten him everyday like that.” She smiled warmly, “It’s okay to like bickering with him.” Toshiro sat up, “I don’t like it that’s why my eye keeps twitching!” he roared in response. The Arrancar and Vice-captain exchanged a glance and began chuckling lightly, he always looked so much like a young boy when he got angry that it was hard not to. Toshiro growled and sat back down in his chair with a sigh. “Would you two be quiet? Some of us have work to do around here…” he turned and glared at Matsumoto who simply sighed and turned to her own pile of paperwork. Grimmjow let off one final chuckled before tucking his hands behind his head and closing his eyes for his daily nap whilst the two Shinigami did their work. ~~~ The group of five again sat at their table, and again had little to show for their endeavors. One man was still bandaged and wounded and looked off away from his companions in shame. One girl looked down into her lap in failure clearly embarrassed that she had screwed something so simple up so badly. The second girl shared a similar disposition; though her down attitude had something slightly…off about it. This was mostly due to the report the two had given Ren upon their arrival. “I see…” he replied plainly, his gaze momentarily lingering on Bikou who had given him most of the information. “Apologies, it’s my fault it went so badly if you give us anoth…” Started Ishi in a rapid fashion before she was cut off. “Not necessary…” replied the man at the head of the table, raising his hand in a “stop” gesture, “I wouldn’t endanger the two of you again.” The two girls looked down, ashamed but didn’t complain or argue with the man. “Kataki?” asked Ren, his normal calm tone already settling back in. The third seat of the sixth division only nodded at the man before calmly standing and leaving the room without so much as a word to the others. “Oi, whats he up to?” asked the Kagai while adjusting the sling on his arm at the far end of the table. “Nothing much, besides since when was I required to explain myself to you Kagai?” replied the man in such a dry tone that the eleventh division Shinigami quieted and turned away without so much as another word. “Well…” began Ren after giving the man plenty of time to respond, “The rest of you can go back to your normal duties unless there is anything else you need to tell me?” he asked turning and looking directly to Bikou. No one spoke and Bikou did her best to ignore the man completely. The leader of the three eventually broke his gaze and waved them all off, which for Bikou was a huge load off of her back. The three quickly parted ways as to not bring attention to themselves, Bikou decided to take a longer way home that just happened to pass the tenth division headquarters. As she walked her mind raced through dozens of things, how humiliated she had been the night before…yet how wonderful it had been all the same. She thought about what her feelings meant she knew it wasn’t love…at least she wasn’t that big of a fool, but she definitely didn’t feel the same way about the man. She frowned realizing that he was now a man apposed to an Arrancar in her mind, how could the line between them been blurred so much in one action? She also worried, Ren was rather odd toward her today…did he know? She shook her head, that was impossible…but he did expect something and that worried her. She sighed to herself and looked up at the headquarters of the tenth division; she could even see the window of the room it had all happened. She shuddered at images and memories that flooded her mind and realized…she could understand how the Kuchiki girl could submit willingly…months of that and she probably would too. She sighed again and began to turn away toward her own division’s headquarters when out of the corner of her eye she saw him. Her eyes narrowed and watched him pass several windows as he moved further toward the center of the building…what was Kataki doing there?~~~
There was a sudden knock at the door of Toshiro’s office, loud enough that Grimmjow actually cracked one eye open to see what it was all about. Matsumoto was the one to go to answer it, though from his position he couldn’t see who it was. He wasn’t really sure who it was, but they were definitely a little bit on the nervous side. He made out that the man had been on his daily errands when he was passing by the twelfth division gates and Captain Kurotsuchi had suddenly grabbed him. Grimmjow frowned at the mention of that freak but listened on anyway. It seemed the Captain had “misplaced” his assistant and need someone to go and fetch the Arrancar to test out a new feeding mechanism.
Grimmjow sat up lazily at the mention of feeding; he rather enjoyed that part…even if the freak was usually there to ruin it. “I’ll be back in a bit.” He said after a long yawn. Matsumoto only hesitated a moment, the story did make sense the twelfth division captain was rather abrupt and despite her distaste for how he treated his underlings it did sound like him to “Misplace” Vice-Captain Nemu. She sighed and waved Grimmjow through, he had been going to most of these sessions on his own anyway since the headquarters were so close. “Don’t take to long Grimmy! She said giving him a small kiss on the cheek, “Lunchtime is gonna be here soon.” “Don’t wait up, the freak probably has something particularly sick to try on me today…” he replied Grinning at the woman. He turned to face the Shinigami that had been sent to fetch him and was instantly annoyed by him. He was tall and thin, though clearly not weak physically and as far as Shinigami went he looked the same…but he reminded him of Aizen far too much. Same hair all slicked back with that one retarded bang hanging down his face…even his eyebrows matched. His only redeeming qualities came from the fact that his eyes were almost golden instead of brown, and he was far to skittish and shy looking to make a perfect match. In the end it was that shit eating smirk that had always pissed Grimmjow off around Aizen, and this one was severely lacking that feature. Grimmjow didn’t say anything to the man and simply moved by him and down the hall, not even really expecting him to follow after his message had been delivered. Yet the man soon moved beside him and matched his stride. “Ya don’t need to baby sit Shinigami, not like I can start any trouble anyway…” he said turning and lazily lifting his chin and showing him the collar around his neck. “N…no…I didn’t mean…I just like seeing….my order through.” The man let out a sigh like he was relieved to get through the sentence. Grimmjow shook his head and rolled his eyes clearly not interested in talking to the man any more. He heard the door shut behind them just as he came to the first intersecting hallway, and suddenly found him self pushed down the hall in an abrupt speedy motion. “What the F…” was all he got out before the man moved in front of him. His expression had changed and he was now more composed, what could only be described as a constant scowl replacing the fumbling fool that had once been shown through his expression. “Be silent.” Commanded the Shinigami with a forceful tone not evident before now. “Fuck you and your…” The man cut him off abruptly without paying any attention to his insult. “If you want to see her again you will shut up and listen Arrancar.” Growled the man in a low tone to ensure no one heard. Grimmjow’s eyes widened, “Her?” he repeated in a questioning tone. The man only nodded lightly and motioned his head down the hall they had turned into, “We will go out a window on the far side and stick to alley routes to the Kuchiki estate.” Grimmjow was awestruck, and even as the man pulled him off the wall and tugged him down the hall he remained silent and soon matched his stride with the Shinigami. They moved quickly, only hesitating long enough to find and open a window where no one was near. They leapt to the ground and quickly skirted a nearby square with several Shinigami conversing inside it and slid into a narrower path. As they began jogging down it Grimmjwo simply followed, he really hadn’t explored these smaller passes much and would likely have gotten lost quickly otherwise. After running for the better part of fifteen minutes they turned a corner and suddenly there it was. He had never actually seen the place, never even been in that area of Soul Society before but it wasn’t hard to pick out. Even among the many large structures it stood out as a larger conglomeration of buildings. They ran until they were only a few hundred feet from it, then the Shinigami crouched at a corner and peered around it. “Hey, who sent you?” Grimmjow questioned quietly, realizing now that he really hadn’t even had the idea that the man was tricking him after his proclamation. “Who do you think.” He responded quickly without even looking back at the Arrancar, “Come on, quickly.” Grimmjow followed behind the Shinigami without a moment’s hesitation and crossed the path into another alley that ran beside the courtyard of the Kuchiki estate. They moved until they were in the shadow of the largest structure on the estate then again crouched down against the wall. “See the window on the third floor there…” started the Shinigami as he pointed up at the window second from the left. Grimmjow looked and saw that it was open and nodded to the man. “Go in there, then down the hall and take the third door on your right…” the Shinigami held up three fingers to exaggerate the point and ensure the Arrancar understood. Grimmjow nodded and stood up, but he didn’t jump. “Hey!” scowled the Shinigami standing to eye level with Grimmjow, “what are you waiting for?!?” Grimmjow frowned then nodded to himself, “Alright, hit me.” The Shinigami was taken aback, “What?!” he asked in a confused and annoyed tone. Grimmjow got annoyed in response to the Shinigami’s frustration and angrily pointed to this collar, “I can’t fucking make the jump idiot, so punch me!” he growled angrily back at him. The Shinigami suddenly settled down, “Where…where should I do it?” he asked suddenly not sure about the whole thing. Grimmjow sighed and rolled his eyes, “What the fuck is wrong with you just hit me you moron!” his voice rose in tone ever so slightly. It seemed the Arrancars volume increase worried the Shinigami enough to spur him into action and he shot a quick jab into the Arrancars stomach. Grimmjow fell to one knee cursing the fact that without his power the single punch was enough to do so much to him. He gasped for a moment then stood again; it was easy to see that his collar showed ninety percent instead of the normal one hundred. He smirked lightly as his breath returned to him and in one hop moved up to the third story where he briefly came to rest just outside it, the small portion of power allowing him to again walk on air. Grimmjow hopped inside after making sure the coast was clear and turned back to the Shinigami below only to find him already gone. He frowned and turned into the building and quickly moved down the hall, carefully counting the doors he passed until he reached the third. He checked the hall again the carefully put his ear up to the door and listened. He strained and winced but couldn’t hear anything no matter what he did. He grimaced and mouthed the word “shit” before shaking his head and deciding that the only way he could find out if the Shinigami was telling him the truth was to go in. The Arrancar took hold of the edge of the door and in a swift motion slid it open. His eyes widened in surprise, even after following the man all this way he really hadn’t expected him to be telling the truth. The girl turned and her expression soon matched his, the shocked silenced was all that came between them. Grimmjow’s ocean blue eyes gazed into Rukia’s…they had come together at last. ~~~ (occ) Cliffhanger, I know I'm terrible :P Megan (Or should I call you Littlesister :) ~ I am very flattered that you registered because of my story! As you see your wishes have finally come into focus and Rukia and Grimmjow are again face to face! I agree that new characters aren't always the best thing to add to a fic, and I hope you find my reasons for adding them entertaining in the end. As for your idea for a fic I'll see what can be done! If I do start up a one shot story I'll be sure to let you know here.
