Byakuya's P.O.V.

10: 50 PM~Sixth Division~Ume's office
I stood there for twenty minutes, watching as Ume working on the last of the paperwork she didn't get to on her few days off and Unohana told her light desk work. I have never met anyone with this much devotion to their work. I am thinking what Renji says is true. Ume is turning into my twin. I have witnessed the change in Ume first hand and I knew she's just burying herself in her work to avoid dealing with her pain.
Sighs.
I nodded to Yumichika and Shūhei to do whatever they needed to do get her home so Ume can rest. Yumichika took away all of her work and put them in the correct files and shut down the laptop and putting the laptop neatly in a corner while Shūhei hauled a loudly protesting Ume out of her chair and lifts her up over her his right shoulder.
" Ume, that is quite enough out of you. We're taking you home because next time I'll personally see to it that Ikkaku and Izuru come and get you. And you know, Izuru would tan your ass for you not taking Unohana's orders seriously." Yumichika said sternly as Shūhei smacks her ass hard enough to make her whimper.
Ume looks over at me for help, but I only shook my head no and I walked out smiling trying not to laugh. I didn't see her stick out her tongue at me.
I watched as the boys take her home to the Eleventh while I returned to my office where Ukitake is waiting for me so we can go home. I told him what had happened in Ume's office and it had him laughing holding his sides.
We left for the night.
On our way to Kuchiki manor, I told Ukitake what Renji has suspected for the last six months since Ume moved into one of the unused dojos of the Eleventh Division. Ume has fallen in love with someone well a taicho, but the said taicho is in a relationship with someone else. We both looked at each other and wondered who it is.
A few days later, Ukitake Jūshirō and I went in search of Ume for lunch. We both found Ume working as usual and to gain her attention I called Kuma and Tori over to me. It worked of course.
"Ume, please join us for lunch please and take a break because the other Sixth Divisioners are calling you "Byakyua's twin"." Ukitake Jūshirō teases her gently.
Ume rolled her eyes at the ridiculous nickname and I could see her mentally pushing Renji off a cliff with Hinageshi for the nickname. Ume grabbed the bento box that Yumichika had dropped off for her earlier and she follows us to the gardens of the Thirteenth.
We sat under the shade of a Banyan tree.
We ate our bento boxes with light conversations. Ume didn't really talk much just listened and only volunteering somewhat to the conversation until Jūshirō very bluntly asked her,
"Ume, I have heard some rumors that you like someone, but because of his positions and his relationship with someone else, you decide to keep your distance. Why?"
I saw Ume look at her feet uncomfortably as Kuma growls viciously at Jūshirō which was unusual while Tori echoes her protest by screeching her outrage.
"Well, you're half right Ukitake-taicho, but the said taicho is with another taicho. I don't want to get in between their relationship or even if I tell them because it could cause them a lot of trouble and an earful of crap from other people so I decided against telling them. But a certain fukutaicho figured it out and has been a gigantic pain in my ass ever since. I think it is for the best though." Ume hums sadly not looking at us.
"Why you would feel this way, Ume?" Jūshirō pushed further with me watching curiously.
" My father is a street rat and my mother wasn't and both taichos are nobles. I rather not deal with family mainly because mine is fucked up. Excuse me, Ukitake-taicho and Kuchiki-taicho, the girls and I have to put the new recruits through their kido paces if I left that to Abarai-fukutaicho, they might end up blowing themselves up." Ume stood up without a backward look fled from us with Kuma and Tori following.
We both looked at each other and looked at the fleeing girl. And then it hit us both like petals of a lotus. We both stood up and gave chase after Ume.
At the moment, the alarm went off, as we responded to the call. We arrived just as Ume released Hinageshi it sounded like a bell ringing loudly.
"Mae Hinageshi," We both watched as a whirlpool formed around some powerful Hallows and at the same exact time a waterfall shot out freezing them while Ume cut down the rest or she would've if I didn't release Senbonzukura and demolished the remaining Hallows while Jūshirō uses kido to get rid of the rest.
Ume then noticed us and tries to run but I used Senbonzukura to block her escape. I heard Ume growl in frustration as she drops to her knees as we both approach her softly.
"Why can't you just leave me alone, Kuchiki-taicho?" Ume growls still not looking at us.
Jūshirō gathers Ume in his arms and very gently took her hands from her face and cupped her chin making her look at us as I scooped them both on my lap as I wrapped my arms loosely around them.
"I won't leave you alone because we want to know which one of us stole your heart first and why do you still think you are not worthy of being loved?" I asked leaning my chin on Jūshirō's left shoulder watching Ume's face closely,
Ume blushed darkly as she tried to look away, but Jūshirō would not let her as he cooed,
"Ume, we both adore you and I believe Byakuya adores you more than I only because he gets to spend more time with you. I also want you to know if you had told us how you felt. we would have made room for you."
I leaned forward and kissed Ume softly and passionately as I whispered against her lips,
"Who stole your heart, my Sugar Plum?"
I watched as Ume turn sixteen shades of red and I smiled at her as I kissed her again this time Jūshirō joined in and he kissed her neck making her moan and growl all at the same time before we released her while licking my lips.
Jūshirō and I shared a passionate kiss when we heard a growl and Ume blurts out,
"I swear you two are impossible and cute all at the same time and if you both must know it was Byakuya who healed my heart but it was both of you who stole my heart. Now can we please leave before someone sees us out here like this."
We smiled and Jūshirō lifts up our Sugar Plum and we are all teleported to Ume's room at Jūshirō's place where we were unceremoniously dropped on the king-sized futon.
Ume giggles as we both looked at her and we heard a motherly voice growl,
"Do not hurt my wielder like that clown ass did or else!"
We both looked at Ume as she giggled and burst out laughing.
We weren't seen for the next few days as we were getting to know each other and moving our Sugar Plum back with Jūshirō.
Kurotsuchi-taicho made noise about Ume living with Ukitake until Hinageshi materialized and she threatened to cut off his ball sacs and she would personal feed them to Kuma if Kurotsuchi continues bothering her Ume. Kurotsuchi shut his mouth and left us alone.
