Don't worry about the "character development in the middle!" I thought it offered an interesting change of pace. The theme of the whole thing was very erotic. You chose the right element to develop.

No you do not fail at smut! This is a glorious reunion of two well defined female characters. I love that you have made them clearly defined and easy to understand, so the smex is a natural continuation. Thanks for sharing this!
