Reviews for Forged Confessions

Well, I'm on a bender of reviews, right now, trying to get caught up. I really love this story, as well as "Hymns", but I've been putting off responding, even though I have been reading. So, I reread Chap 6 along with this chap.

Chap 6: Yep, Shunsui is locked into his anger, confusion, and shock. He's immobilized himself. He's angry at his own deficiencies for not seeing this all along, and for not knowing that Jushiro needed him to see it. He is confused about the feelings Jushiro has had to suppress, and not knowing his own feelings about it. He's shocked that the world he depended on is not what it seemed. Not knowing, Not seeing. The very antithesis to WHO HE IS. No wonder his existence is called into question, his universe collapsing. No wonder he can't get out from under the weight of it to do what he should. The bigger (prouder) they are, the harder (deeper) they fall. I'd say he's always thought pretty highly of himself and Jushiro. Their connection bolstered him, each other. He doesn't even know if the connection is still there!

That's was really well written. If my interpretation is anything to go by, I'd say you got your intent across. Intensely satisfying.

Chap 7: I've not had the pleasure (or torture) of writing a battle scene, but I fully intend to and the more I read, the more ideas I get. So, I'm very pleased at your description. I was able to follow the action easily (some other writer's fight scenes are quite confusing), and the dialogue made it much more enjoyable than strictly fighting. Of course, it needed to be there to further the plot. I think your characters are still intact, no danger of losing to OOC-ness. My pride swells for Zaraki's meddling, giving him so much more depth than the manga shows. Big bear, big heart. Kyoraku needed exactly someone like him to break through his self-imposed isolation barrier. I guess we won't know until next chapter if he succeeded.

I was very exited when I saw you updated this story, and thank you very much. It is WONDERFUL!!!! I am angry at Shunsui but I also feel bad for him too. I know what it feels like to have so many emotions bouncing around inside and trying to sort them out. And Zaraki! - "Is that yers" "No." "I was hopin' you'd say that," I can see the gleeful smile on his face as he drew his sword (Shivers in delight). I can't wait to see what you do with the next chapter.
As for any errors, the only thing I noticed was a couple of the words were switched around early in the chapter, but the flow of the chapter was well done. I agree with the other reviewers, this chapter fit so well with the story and as readers we needed to know what was going on with Shunsui. You did very well. :)
I wish you luck with your move and will hope for a speedy update. Thank you.

I couldn't wait on the other site and came here instead. Can't help it, I love this story so much. The angst and hurt...

Awesome chapter! Hope somebody (maybe Kenny?) could knock some sense into Shunsui soon and that perhaps he realizes that subconsciously he had also bottled the same (unrealized?) feelings for Juushiro.

Hope your moving runs smoothly and please update soon and promise you won't ever ever abandon this fic! Take care and happy writing!

I kind of can sympathize with Shunsui - I have the same problem sometimes with not picking up on emotions even though I'm usually really good at it - but at the same time....
And Kenpachi arrives! Hahaha, oh, I'm looking forward to reading the rest of their confrontation! xD
*raises brow* From your 'phew' at the end, I take it this chapter was troublesome to write? You did well with it. :)
    May the words just flow,
    Cuzosu

I think that last chapter is exactly what we the readers needed - an insight into what Shunsui was thinking. I think you choose the right chapter to post. So yay, good job! Looking forward to the next chapter!!

Sorry took be so long to get to reading your story. Internet was out, it sucked so bad I wanted to scream. I mean how can a person live without the internet.
Anyway. I really, really, really loved the chapter. Kenpachi may be a dick but he truly cares for people and I love the way you portrayed him. As for the bells (giggle) I would have stolen them too, Go Yachiru. :P
I can't wait for the next chapter.

“I found a fishy and played with it!” she exclaimed waving a dead fish at him, “But I don’t think he liked it,”

    Talk about Lollness?!!

Kenpachi's having a bit of indecision about getting involved, but, I think his last thoughts were to help Juushiro. Goody! I want to help him, too. Just let me know if there's anything I can do. *brush his hair while he recovers*

Chap 4: *Gulp* Despair! Ju filled them all up while Shun was his only support. Retsu feels hollow now that Ju has given up. With no support for himself, the absence of his reassurance and optimism dominos onto the rest, leaving them drained, empty, hopeless. Me too.

What other role might Zaraki play? Was he just there to provide a rescue or will he figure more deeply? Someone has to affect either Shunsui or Jushiro. Who? Who?

BTW, out of curiosity, does Jushiro play the flute? ;)

I was so exited when I saw that your story was updated. And what an update!! This chapter reached deep within me and pulled at my heart. There is such a sense of sadness from all the characters but there is also a feel of desperate hope that Jushiro will recover. I really hope that Shunsui will come to terms with what happened and soon. I don't like seeing one of my favorite captains suffering and possibly dying of a broken heart.
Thank you so much for your update. I am waiting patiently for the next chapter.

    It's wonderful!

...is it going to be a tragedy? Please don't let it be! Shunsui has to reprocicate! well, not that he *has* to, but...
Someone has to open his eyes (hopefully). Hell, I'd set even for Kenny hitting his head while saying "Not be an idiot!"...or Nanao-chan...that's her method with him anyways.

My love to you and Jyuu-chan.

Again I find myself adding a story written by you to my currently reading, I really love your style!
This is by far my favorite: so breathtaking and interesting, plus it is so well written!
I truly hope you're going to continue this!
Awesome job! And if I may, I felt like your writing style was more mature in this, probably this is the reason why it is so captivating!
