hmmm.....ya know what...I said I would no longer harp on it an I am a man of my word, so no harping. Allow me one last howl of fury though. Excuse me:

'runs outside into the rain and howls to the sky in impotent rage and Savate kicks a streetlamp and curls into a fetal position'

    -15 min later-

OK! On to the true review!

Hana is one tough little cookie and I figured Harribel would have one in the oven eventually. I am pleasantly surprised that we got some info on the other claims and there are at least 64 claimed if I read that write which means that the numeros ranks have dwindled over the years of fighting the swarm. Harribel can be adorable when she is embarrassed or off her game and her affection for Hana is sweet. I wouldn't want to be in Retsu's shoes when she has to interview the claimed WITH their 'masters' present and report to Aizen that someone who by all the laws of nature shouldn't be able to conceive beat him to the punch. Poor Gin is probably going to catch the backlash though. It's nice to see that she does what she can for the claimed females although I still feel that discretion would have been better for the claimed women. Making it an order to appear is one thing but couldn't it have been done without the 'masters' present? And holy shit I am starting to harp so I will move on from the subject.

I actually pity the fool who left Hana to her own devices and now has incurred the wrath of not only 2 very powerful Espada but perhaps Aizen himself. Gonna love to see Toshiro's reaction to being a daddy.....that is unless Aizen is feeling less than benevolent(hah) and has Harribel terminate the pregnancy......now THAT would sever any sense of loyalty she may still bear for him.

This Weeks Question: Money is a little tight atm, so I am going to have to take it east this Christmas and probably just hang at a relatives house and share in the cheer their. Christmas doesn't really excite me much anyway anymore.

-waits patiently for the next chapter-

    -whistle-

Quite a few developments and Grimmjow being Grimmjow, still can't pass up a chance to stick it to Ichigo and be a dick about things lol. Ya know there are honestly moments in this story where I imagine what things would have been like had this been a grimm-ichi fic and Ichigo was in Karin's place. Although Ichigo would have lost his composure at the very first claim meeting and would have tried to waste Aizen and any Arrancar he saw abusing there slaves. I like the different POV's you give the characters, from the human/shini viewpoint what has happened to those who are claimed is morally wrong and they want to see everyone freed but from the Hollow standpoint it's not about morality but about a conqueror's right and while it is shitty of some of the arrancar to hurt theirs slaves, it is there right and not necessarily wrong by their standards. You manage to keep everyone in character while showing there developments as people. The old Grimmjow would not have given two shits about what is happening and would instead be looking for the next fight. Karin wants to free all of the claimed, thoe who want to be freed that is, and has that kurosaki chronic hero syndrome but has become much more pragmatic than her brother. She will bide her time and look for an opening to save everyone since her powers are not exactly up to snuff with a lot of adversary's while he would defy any and all and rush head long into saving someone even if he personally had no chance of surviving.

The strategy they have cooked up to take out Aizen sounds good on paper, but their might be a few problems. I mean their overall strategy is to cut him off from the throne, bring their heaviest hitters and dog pile on him. Against someone like say Yammy, that's a pretty good plan, but Aizen, hate him all you want, is a different kind of beast entirely. Just a few things here:

-Even if they cut him off from the throne..........he STILL has the hogyoku inside of him and that renders him nearly unkillable and assuming they cut off his power from the throne he will just revert back to the state where he was able to kill people with his spiritual pressure alone and survived having his torso blown apart by gin.

-Kyoka suigetsu, unless szayel still has the tech he used to render Ishida and Renji's abilities inert, they are fucked from the get go if Aizen pulls this out. And he still has bankai to fall back on.

-He solo'd the Gotei 13 plus the vaizard backups and tanked a kamikaze attack from Yamamoto and a sneak attack from ichigo only cut him a a bit(hogyoku healed him, but still). I despise him but he is raw unmitigated power and the espada despite growing displeased by by their ruler and talking real big behind his back still willingly followed him because they feared and respected that power.

And this will probably be the last time, hopefully, that I harp on the "claimed shinigami, god I hate the Arrancar etc etc" subject since despite how kind and respectful your reply's are, I know I can be frustrating with my curiosity and you are laying the groundwork for what may happen after Aizen's fall so bear with me this one last time. I see the sense in not immediately looking for way's to free ALL of the claimed since it it unlikely that the numeros will let there slaves go without a fight, but a few things I want to ask/point out.

-If Aizen and co were able to find a way to block people from getting out of Hueco Mundo, couldn't szayel find a way to reverse that so they would be able to stop any numeros who didn't want to willingly give up his slave from fleeing the soul society?

-There's like what, about 100 numeros? to the average shini they would pose a threat but to the combined powers of the espada, the captains and the escapees, getting them all into one location and taking them out should be no challenge. granted this would be a last resort after determining who was willing to let the shinigami they claimed go free and whether or not that shini in question was ready to forgive their rapist and not look for payback.

-Piggy backing off the above but as you stated previously, Orihime is the only person in bleach who would realistically forgive her rapist/abuser and in his favor he changed for the better. Even if the shinigami are freed, they have experienced 15 years of slavery and either being punching bags or sexual outlets or both and their was nothing they could do to resist. Orihime is a special case and under tv tropes would be the "messsiah" like character. The shini didn't exactly look upon hollows in a friendly(i.e kill on sight) manner before the war and after what they have gone through, even if their captors became slightly "nicer" would realistically jump at the chance to regain their pride and get some vengeance. These people are warriors and have had to face countless humiliations and be referred to as "pets".

But enough of that on to the rest of the review.

Nice to see Grimmjow and Ulq square there shit away and was not very surprised to see how strong grimm had become. I have stated it before but him and Ichigo have some scary similarities, and it's only natural that like Ichigo he would become stronger when he has something to protect.

Next Chapter: Oh yes, next Chapter *snicker. Soul Society is hit by an unexpected epidemic.

    ........"unexpected epidemic".......

you just love fucking with our emotions don't you?

-waits patiently for the next chapter-

While reading various comments in the review section, I was reminded of a thought I had a while back. Considering that one of the reasons that Tatsuki got together with Tesla was remove herself as a target, is this the case with anyone else? I'm wondering if there are any female Shinigami that decided to let themselves be claimed- if only to avoid trouble? I ask this because I thought it would be really interesting to see other women talking to Karin and the other girls (like Tatsuki and Orihime) about living with Arrancar. I bring this up, because we've seen (from the show/manga) that not all the Arrancar are evil bastards/bitches by default. Well, it's just a thought, maybe when this whole kidnapping arc resolved- because if first story is any indication, this story isn't even half-way done. Anyway, I look forward to seeing the next chapter.

sooooo i have been spending all these nights after my classes reading your fic, i already read part 1 and already read all chapters in part 2. I want to say to you that you can be very very very very mean with the characters who get torture. But i have to be honest if you picture them other way they would be out of character (the mean ones of course :). I have to say that all of these relationships you have developed in the fic are awesome. I love karin and grimmjow, ulquiorra and orihime, and i am very surprise with rangiku and noitra. (sorry if i didnt write those names well).
I actually want to see more of rangiku, i want her to be free as she used to be, she is one of my favorite characters from bleach, and i would like to see an improvement in her relationship with noitra.
I also have to say i used to hate szayel but the way you turn the situation changed my mind. I am happy that renji has his soul back, he is also of my favorite ones. Please please please please please, make aizen fall from his chair! Destroy him, you can be as mean as you want, seems like you have talent while writing dark scenes. (sorry, hope you dont feel hurt)
i cannot stand all the suffering byakuya have had to endure during 15 years so please i leave it in you hands and the destroy him too.
I wish to them, the ones who are suffering to get out of their sadd situation. A
also let starrk get the claim of byakuya before it is too late!
Anyway love you imagination, you have so much talent, you are creative and it is really enjoyable to read from you.
Sorry if you cannot understand english is not my mother languaje and i hate writing in english so i dont know if you will undertand.
    Love love from sam!

    Swarm >>>>> Aizen.

    chapter 39.

Well....DAMN those kids got wrecked. Ajuga dropped the ball big time, what would have been an escapable ass beating turned into a kidnapping. They underestimated there enemy and payed for it. Nice talk Karin had with the general although it now amounts to crap since the swarm now has her daughter. I can see the sense in enlisting someone like Barragan, given his ability in their coup attempt ......only if he is dealt with afterwords muahahaha.

Will be interesting to see if/when Karin and Ichigo meet up again and whether or not he holds any ill feelings towards her. Knowing him I doubt it although he will probably still want to curbstomp Grimmjow lol. In fact it will be interesting to see how he feels towards not only his sister but his surviving friends and who they are with. Karin/Orihime/Tatsuki are all with people who have personally tried to kill him lol.

love the double update and feel sorry for Karin now. All of her plans just went to hell.

    -rams body against bunker door-

how DARE YOU end it like that. wha...what happened? Did someone die, does it have anything to do with the escapees? Was Ajuga kidnapped? was Diaemus kidnapped?!?!?!? are they both with the escapees or perhaps the swarm given Hana's condition? DFRDV%VEVEVERV45......-brain shutdown-

I am under the firm belief that our tears are used as beverage for you while our feels are a nice snack.

Quite an interesting chapter and it's about time someone laid into Ulq about his near fanatical worship of that madman. I agree that Aizen may have once been a vastly different individual. Hell even in canon Ichigo believes Aizen was once different. It's a scary thing but, just how long can someone be so much better at everything than everyone else that they develop a God complex. No one is born evil.....except gingers.....soulless little bastards.....-shiver. I've have made no secret of my intense....shall we say "irratation" with Ulq(and most arrancar for that matter) at times but here he really came off as some lost child. For the longest time Aizen was the one thing he believed in and now that security blanket is being shredded. Orihime is such a pure soul that she can even forgive a guy who at one point raped her for years and abused her and her best friend. Anyone else would have tried to geld Ulq at the first opportunity. Her heart is one of her most endearing aspects....but at the same time a massive weakness. It was brought up at some point in canon that her powers work with her personality. Can you imagine for one moment if she had some killer intent in her just how destructive her powers would be? Aizen himself said her powers step into gods realm and as Ginjo found out first hand when she is pushed she is scary. Hell she once planned to reject the freaking hogyoku and I am pissed that Kubo didnt follow through with that and hasn't given her a proper push. The fullbringer arc would have been the perfect chance for her to shine.

Ajuga has some stones stepping up to Ulq but given her dual bloodline it I not very surprising. Grimmjow would step up to Aizen if pushed and Kurosaki's wont back down if they see an injustice. I was so sure the Diaemus would learn of how his dad used to be and I am also happy along with Orihime that he has such a strong moral compass. His hollow ideology still shows up at times just like with other hollows in the form of double standards and skewed perceptions on what is right and wrong but it's good to see that his mothers kindness was passed on to him as well.

and before I forget....-squeal- My Soi had an appearance AND got to interact with Orihime.

Okay you know a review from me would not be complete without a pseudo rant to go along with it lol. So strap in and hold on tight.

    Now without further ado.

    Ahem

Now...as you have told me before some the things that the pov characters say are said to keep the spirits up and not dwell on the sad parts of their fates so I wont light Tatuski up this time.

On the subject of figuring out a way to stop miscarriages.

“But what can be done about that?” Rangiku asked. Szayel held one finger up in the air.

    Nothing...they should do absolutely nothing.

“The answer is relatively simple. We just request all women take a pregnancy test before their Masters re-Claim them. As long as there’s a reasonable amount of time between Claims, we can determine if the woman has conceived. In theory, that would prevent any Claim-induced miscarriages. Orihime-san, could you bring this up with Unohana-Taichou? You will be seeing her later today, will you not?” he asked.

“Tomorrow morning, unless a battle occurs. I would be happy to bring it up with her.”

Why.....why by the beard of the mighty Zeus would you make this public knowledge? Do they think that the other claimed women want to have children by their "masters"? I would find it highly improbable that the majority of the claimed would be happy at the prospect of giving their rapist's that final victory. And yes it has been brought up quite a bit in recent chapters that yes the numeros are treating their slaves "better".........but really anything would be a step up from what they endured previously. Women don't just magically fall in love with their abuser because they start to treat them slightly better or got them pregnant. What is "best damn sex around" for some is still rape for others. What Karin and her group as fond as I have grown for them seem to forget is that they are currently claimed willingly and should try to see things from the other side of their protective bubble.

Now I can see how this may seem a little harsh and let me be clear, I am neutral on the whole abortion subject but in this story due to Aizen's laws the women here don't have that option so simply unknowingly miscarrying in a battle will be better for them. If this info goes public then it could also effect battle effectiveness from not only the possibly pregnant claimed but the Numeros who's focus will be off.

Damn that cliffhanger. Anything that can get Ulq to react like that cannot be good. I'm assuming Ajuga,Hana and Diaemus got into quite a pickle.

please please do a double post lol. We can't wait a week.

Now before I end this allow me to say..............what the actual fuck with Mask De Masculine powers. I mean kudos to kubo for thinking outside the box but "Cheering"? interesting power but now I am very curious as to what abilities Kubo has given to the other Stern Ritter.

    -waits patiently for next update-

@Chapter 38: I've been rather sparing with my comments of late, if only to avoid repeating myself. The last handful of chapters have formed a compelling arc within the main story. The Espada are increasingly loosing faith in Aizen, to the point that some are now openly speaking against him, while other characters like Karin and Renji are pondering on possible ways of defeating him. I wouldn't be surprised if Aizen is starting to realize that he's pushed his subjects to the point of a full-scale revolt. Given how sloppy and indulgent he's become of late, it's not surprising that cracks in his seeming invincibility are starting to show. But this is just speculation, and any kind of confrontation is a long way off.

Ulquiorra's increasing disillusionment with Aizen seems to be coming to a head. And Diaemus openly confronting about what's most important to him seems to have struck at something deep in him. Though I also liked the moment where Orihime realistically points out to Diaemus and Ajuga that Aizen is now so powerful that he can't be stopped. I deeply enjoyed the UlquiHime content in this chapter- especially her talking about how she fell in love with him over time. It's also nice to be reminded that there's still so much passion between them after all this time.

As for the cliffhanger... I'm certainly curious about what the hell happened to Hana. Given Karin's state, and Aizen's comment, I'm guessing that someone has died- likely Ukitake (sigh), based on how devastated everyone is reacting.
