Oh I absolutely loved this chapter! It was sooo cute. When the cub was born and he wouldn't eat the meat, I knew he had to want milk, it was the only other possible thing. I didn't know Sayzel (sorry if I spelled it wrong) would be able to bresatfeed him, but that fit really well and it was nice to see Grimmjow's mommy instinct in action. I really hope that you update soon, although I know how it is with a baby, I have two- a six year old and a three year old, so good luck, I can't wait, this story is awesome!

Too bad Yuzu can't see her new nephew (she'll probably complain, and Isshin would have Urahara make something so she could see him, like a camera that takes pictures where spiritual beings are visible in them or something like that.) because she'd probably have the same reaction as Orihime probably would and squeal at how cute and fuzzy he is. And Isshin would bounce around in joy and rant at Masaki's about their new grandson.

If you see fit to have Szayel shift to full female eventually it would be interesting to see a shift in interest in him because of his change. Such as Ichigo may have had a very slight interest just because he WAS the right gender ... but now isn't. Grimmjow and possibly H'Tsu being more bi- in orientation might have an interest in both genders but might have a slight preference for one rather than the other ... like H'Tsu might have a mild preference for males because he does like to be rough and males can handle it better ... Grimmjow might have a mild preference for females because ... what kitty would pass up a ready supply of fresh cream if he could get it (can so see Grimmjow attempting to sneak a sample while Ichigo is otherwise occupied ...). That leaves stoic Zangetsu ... now what if he is straight as an arrow and thinks the female Szayel is the most heartstoppingly desirable female he's ever laid eyes on ... kind of brings out his knight in shining armor mode with the armor hiding the fact that he's become a walking embodiment of lust (of course we all know Zangetsu would still be a gentleman about it when trying to seduce and charm the female Szayel). Just seeing Ichigo having to deal with all three aspects would be hilarious and seeing Grimmjow still be heavily interested in Ichigo but showing some definite ...interest... in Szayel's changes (first natural born beta he's actually been around).

Hope you got a laugh out of the last couple of reviews. I just kept getting the image of Ichigo suddenly discovering the 'all boys' club he's been living amongst for the last month+ (Ichigo, Grimmjow, Zangetsu, H'Tsu, and Szayel) has suddenly been invaded by a girl ... or almost girl ... because Szayel changed. In regard to the idea of him shifting genders to 'lay' the egg ... his only successful laying was when Szayel was still a dual gender adjucas. He may not have gotten to the point of shifting (or had the energy needed due to starvation) when he miscarried H'Tsu's eggs. It could be that the genetic shift gradually happens during the second month. It is also possible that any shift might be accelerated by the now nursing cub of Grimmjow's. The unexpected and accelerated internal shifts might cause Szayel to have a false impending miscarriage scare. Ichigo might be watching Grimmjow for any signs of shifting as well as himself because this shift of genders thing has him a little freaked out ... it's a new discovery about the Espada class arrancar. Even if it only affects a few ... he isn't sure he won't be one of the few affected in such a way...

Hope everything is looking up.

Actually sequential would probably make more sense because H'Tsu would have noticed if Szayel had a deviation of that variety and probably would have at least questioned it before found out. But don't want to traumatize Ichigo too much ... seeing boobs would be enough ... if he noticed 'it fell off (or went missing more or less)' because of the transition he'd probably have a nervous breakdown wondering if it might happen to him ....because of H'Tsu also being a hollow. He doesn't know for sure that all high level arrancar aren't like that because they once had both genders blended.

Love the baby ... and it would be interesting to see both boys taking an interest to one degree or another in Szayel's changes ... not that their interests would be the same. It would also be interesting to know H'Tsu's and Zangetsu's reactions. Ichigo has been more or less confirmed gay, but is H'Tsu? It would be hilarious if Zangetsu was straight but had to resign himself to Ichigo's preferences. Grimmjow has already silently admitted to being attracted to females but obviously doesn't mind male partners ... so he qualifies as bi ... will he be curious? (and what kitty doesn't like a little fresh milk on occasion ... poor Szayel).

If we get to vote ... I'd love to see the reaction of everyone if Szayel does a shift from male to female ... at least until the cubs are all weened. The shift doesn't have to be all at once but it would be hilarious to see Ichigo and Grimmjow's shock at noticing that Szayel is slowly starting to get a softer and rounder shape ... they don't make a habit of checking his package out so it might not be noticed very quickly that certain parts are ... growing inward (pre-egg laying changes ... Szayel gets to have labor the female way ...) of course if he is now wearing clothes all the time certain changes might go unnoticed for quite a while. It would just be so funny to have Ichigo walk in to the bathroom saying the cub is hungry ... only to stop short and stare at the half-dressed Arrancar towel drying his(?) hair and suddenly go a bit pale ... "uuhhh ... You have ... boobs!" Of course Grimmjow is impatient and annoyed because it's taking Szayel too long to come out and feed the baby so he brings the whining baby to Szayel ... stopping short and staring. "Damn man you got a rack. Where'd ya get a set of knockers like that?"

Needless to say Szayel tends to wear his clothes a bit loose so the physical changes aren't as noticeable until such an event.

But that is just what I'd find humorous ... either way my vote is for sequential. and love the kitten ... still hoping Szayel gets twins that do NOT take after their daddy.

This chapter was adorable and funny. I like how Grimmjow went into instant protective mother mode, especailly after what the cub did to Szayel xD Who knew Grimm had it in him?~

Absolutely fantastic chapter! I keep a tab of the latest chapter open and refresh it every few days so I don't miss a thing >w< I can only imagine how cute the little cub is right now, as how cute Grimmy and Ichigo look with the little one~ The breast-feeding thing was unexpected, but not unwelcome, too.

Hmm Grimmjow acting just like a kitty before the egg hatched was cute. Love Szayel peeking in on the birth ... it is so him. If the baby needs to nurse you'd think Grimmjow, being the mama, would have developed the ability ... or is it a case that the baby can consume both meat and milk but will opt for milk if it is available? Poor Szayel, I'm surprised he didn't suddenly find himself laying in a stinky puddle of his own waste material when the kitten toddled up and latched on to nurse from him ... hope Grimmjow lets the nests be merged for comfort and convenience (don't want the baby's food provider too far away or getting sick from the cold). Hmmm men, you just never learn the value of communication and getting to know each other ... if you did then that one little tidbit of information might have been made known a bit sooner. Grimmjow you are a bit slow on the uptake but you are soooooo funny when you finally figure things out. The baby kitty sounds pretty ... and a boy ... bet Grimmjow and Ichigo are both tickled pink, even if Grimmjow is a bit miffed about the cub bonding with Szayel. Hmmm .... wonder if Kisuke can express enough milk from Szayel to develop some hollow baby formula as well as manufacture and improve upon the 'taffy packet' food substitute of Szayel's. Still worried about that movement that was noticed in the last chapter ... it might be safer in the human world hidden in Kisuke's underground training area (with the rest of the food supplies and a few hollow corpses stashed in a deep freeze for emergency use so Kisuke has time to get started on making more food packets and developing some formula too.

Ok ... Hmmm ... We know Ichigo can manifest his other parts ... but the question is ... can they force manifestation when he's asleep? Provided they feel strongly enough to try ... like H'Tsu being so furious at Szayel for admitting having had a crush on Grimmjow .... and his body language saying the crush is as strong as ever ... H'Tsu seems to be rather possessive at times and very easily pissed off, especially if the person upsetting him is his 'pretty pet' Szayel. If H'tsu did manifest would he limit himself to punishing Szayel or would he try to usurp Ichigo's authority and punish Grimmjow too for simply having been a temptation to Szayel at any time (and because he'd see Grimmjow as a rival)? And, if running free, would H'tsu go so far as to try to attack the egg? I'm sure if he did any of the above Ichigo would find a way to restrain him even if it required he and Zangetsu take opposite sleep shifts to keep a constant eye on him ... and no chance of unescorted marker refreshing even being considered ...

Hmm ... I get the feeling that Szayel wasn't really very interested in his first alpha and it was strictly an arrangement of convenience. It also seems like the first pack alpha that caught his interest, and his first non-existent heart fluttering crush, was our lovely blue-haired bishi Grimmjow. I also get the feeling he left the pack because his non-existent heart was starting to break because his interest wasn't returned by the breath-taking 'older' male. It's going to be interesting to see how Grimmjow's attitude changes now that he knows:

1. How Szayel felt, and possibly still feels, about him.
and
2. How young Szayel really is, and the possibility that HE was Szayel's first (maybe only) crush because he's so young.

It's possible that the later conversation that we don't know explained how Szayel's first alpha was a pairing of convenience for them both and no real feelings were involved. Also the fact that Szayel is a naturally born beta and couldn't really initiate the situation in any way but by interesting his chosen alpha. That might also affect Grimmjow's perspective a bit.

It would also be interesting to find out how all three aspects of Ichigo feel about the recent revelations concerning feelings and past interactions.

Love how the cub has all ready taken an acceptance of (if not liking to) Szayel.

Still hoping to see Szayel have a scare that he might be close to another miscarry. Would be kind of interesting if, once the slightly larger than normal egg is laid, it is discovered that Szayel is gonna be a mommy of ... twins. (let Grimmjow be a bit jealous of that ... lol).

Hmmm ... and the individuals that were detected .... not a good thing .... Guess Ichigo 'forgot' to mention it to Grimmjow? We all know Grimmjow's protective mama instincts would have put him in full defense mode as soon as that tidbit of info was shared ... leading to a not so mellow kitty regardless of his recent caffeine fix.

(he is definitely addicted to caffeine if he mellows out that fast upon getting it and he's willing to let Ichigo focus on Szayel to some degree while he (Grimmjow) focuses on his coffee ...)
