yep, love their relationship. its nice to see the softer side of tats...& the constant 'damn you orihime's made me smile every single time. i love their sister-bond/friendship. if we are jumping to post-birth orihime, that means we'll have missed all the fun scenes of ulqui having to cope with a hormonal & uncomfortable & maybe sex-crazy (since apparently a lot of pregnant women get very frisky) ori coupled with is own instinctual nesting behaviors... i was so looking forward to seeing him FINALLY have an almost freak out (maybe while she is giving birth & he can sense her intense pain via the link). given he's bat & not cat, i figured his nesting would be different (but equally funny). seriously excited to find out if its a boy or a girl (hoping for a boy as future mate for ajuga). how adorable would a teeny ulqui w/maybe ori's mouth or temperament or a patch of ginger hair amongst the black, etc. plus, ulqui gets to enjoy even bigger boobs thanks to milk coming in. hope we will at least get some fun flashback or reminiscing between the girls (or guys if its ulqui talking to his fellow arrancar).

rambling now: if its a time skip, hopefully poor szayzel will be healed and the folks present during last chap have been mulling over aizen's monstrous behavior (& maybe noticing at last other things they had been turning a blind eye to?). as fathers & brothers(starkk seems to act as bro to lilynette) all those men should feel a more pressing sense of threat or danger given they all have young &/or humans to protect, yes? at least the particular cast members present at that scene last chap seemed purposeful. the only one missing who also has someone weaker to keep safe was tesra, but given he's allied w/nnoi who's not tight w/karin at all, it would have been really odd to have him present. just making guesses about where things will end up going (especially if there's still over another 100 chaps to go). happy editing/writing!

Tatsuki and Tesra my second all time favorite couple! This is possibly my favorite chapter to date that didn't involve Karin and Grim. Real love is unfolding between them and to read about their mating and marriage was totally beautiful! I love the fact that he bought two rings one for her and one for himself to wear!! I really love them as a couple and I hope you write even more involving them before you bring the story to an end! Totally touching and emotion filled chapter!

Actually Ajuga is a pretty smart cookie for her age. I am sure everyone, including but not limited to Ulquiorra and Nnoitra will try to preserve her naively about how Szayel got hurt so bad and by whom. Aisen might be interested in her but if he gets an idea that she could eventually mature into a threat I'm pretty sure he'd do everything possible to minimize the odds of it happening. I'm honestly wondering how long it will be before Ajuga figures it all out and who will be responsible for her finding out (I'm sure it will be unintentional). Also curious how she will react when she sees how injured Szayel is and what she will do when she discovers who hurt him (seriously doubt she could handle the 'how' part). I can imagine her starting to do midnight spy missions to keep 'her Szay' safe and mama and papa discover her really missing from her room some night ... because she's in the bushes secretly guarding Szayel. Can even imagine her asking daddy, mama, and Starrk-sama if Szay can stay with them so he doesn't get hurt again ... and so she can see and play with him more... lol ... Am sure that serious, concerned, and extremely heartfelt request would get a definite response from the grown-ups. (wonder if Aisen knows how attached she is to Szayel ... Come to think of it I wonder if Szayel realizes how attached she is to him ...). Aisen and Yammy smell 'bad', Ulquiorra smells like 'food', Gin and Byakuya smell 'sad', am assuming her extended family (Grimmjow's pack and Starrk's pack) smell like 'home or love' ... makes you wonder how everyone else smells to her .... and what any survivors smell like.

as ulqui had to feel all of ori's horror & distress over the damage to szayzel & her rage at the rape-double-standard, was he continuing his glare-off with grimmy in order to save face because he's naturally ultra competitive w/grim? for him to let any emotion show to someone NOT orihime alone is a sign of the inner turmoil he had to be feeling. it highlighted the 'sowing the seeds of discontent' theme very well, even more than starkk saying more than 3 words before yawning.

even if it happens off-page, i really hope it is at least implied that ori & ulqui would continue talking about not just the rape issue but also the power-hungry monster that is kami-sama--not worthy of loyalty, but a cancer to be removed. its very cool that starkk, as 2nd only to yammy in raw power, is among the espada aware of aizen's true colors in a much more personal/in-your-face way.

i also wonder if part of the point of this chap is to show how its aizen himself who has pushed szayzel into eventually betraying him, with his apalling behavior being so beyond even a hollow's code that his own most-faithful dog (ulqi) is gonna eventually join the coup. if so, bravo--very effective, as sad as we are for szay always being brutalized along w/poor gin. gin should still be the one that gets to ultimately kill aizen, but szayzel should get to take a few pieces off of him too--maybe invent the slow, painful poison that gin gets to administer. he could put it in his bum when aizen is gonna rape him so aizen ends up done in by his own evil actions... something twisted & painful anyways.

I think Starrk doesn't care if Karin can claim or not as long as she doesn't do it to him or Lilinette (except maybe in a damaged mask emergency ... But that is only a maybe). Think the revelation took Jushiro by surprise.

Poor Szayel! I think just seeing it happening to Szayel will be enough to give Grimmjow a few nightmares let alone what it will do to Szayel, the actual victim. With the four Espada now knowing at least a fraction of what Aisen is capable of towards his followers, and with no real reason to do so, I'm wondering how long it will be before others find out via hushed whispers. Did Aisen have the presence of mind to soundproof Unohanna's areas or is she forced to silently listed to the tortures and do nothing? I know Ulquiorra is loyal but this might be enough to even get him to rebel. I think Starrk would go along with getting rid of Aisen especially after seeing a fellow Espada pushed to the point of suicide.

Hmmm ... Give Aisen Yammy to play with like that as often as he wants ... and seal the two away somewhere in isolation for eternity ...

If Ajuga really is worried about Szayel (you know she is with both mama and papa smelling like his blood) do you really expect anyone to be able to prevent her from sneaking in to see him? And once she does see him (and possibly her new friend Gin) do you NOT expect to see her on the Anti-Aisen warpath? Anyone sticking up for Aisen would be fair game and probably wouldn't stand a chance. I mean a couple chapters back Ulquiorra just made a less than favorable comment about Szayel and she reached out and drew blood with a quick scratch even though she was being relatively good and respectful. Could you see Ajuga going berserk if the first non-family group male she is smitten with (adoration not sexual guys) has been so severly attacked? If she finds out (probably from overhearing it) that Szayel tried to kill himself? Could you see how it would tear Szayel apart if she curled up and held him while sobbing about dying herself if he was gone as in dead?

I think Grimmjow realizes that Szayel isn't so bad when it comes to Ajuga since Szayel was concerned about her even after what he'd been through.

Hmmm ... If ya stay snowbound do you think we might get to see the next chappie or two a bit early? And glad you are feeling a bit better for the time being.

Wow, holy hell, that was brutal! If you wanted to make people feel sympathy for Szayel, you sure succeeded in my case! And while Aizen is being incredibly horrifyingly extremely savage, in an eerily polite sort of way, it somehow seems to fit his personality. If I remember correctly, in canon, when he's all metamorphosing, he warns a soul not to approach because that'd kill him, and then he pretty much walks close to said soul and watches it explode. Just for the hell of it, more or less.

Pretty good fic all around, I'd say. I'm definitely going to keep my eyes on it.

WOW!! These last two chapter were intense! I think that Szayel might just have paid for most of his transgressions in this last chapter. I really do love the way you write. It's way to easy to get wrapped up in your portrayal of the characters and the story you tell completely ensnares you. I look forward to every chapter you write! Sorry to hear about all that snow!

Poor Szayel, I'm surprized that Karin could move at all with what he was going through. And with her acting as both go between I'm surprized Grimmjow didn't feel more of it. Wonder what Szayel did to deserve it ... probably nothing is my guess ... Aisen was probably just wanting a change of pace from torturing Gin. (hope Ajuga is ok ... actually it would serve Aisen right if the 'bug' alarms suddenly went off in the middle of his 'play' time.

Yeah, okay. I retract part of my statement from the Chapter 71 review. Szay's been through more than enough now. This chapter got more of an emotional reaction out of me.

I like how ya have Orihime stand up like that and I also get the Hollow thinking of it (the rape/Claiming)being two totally different acts. Interesting how things will work out now.

    Until next chapter! :D

Oh my, oh my … dear god!!!!

I think that Karin really cares for Szayel (of course she cares. Who would clean someone's anus without giving a shit for the said person? I was talking about the last time Aizen ordered Szayel’s rape)
This was an epic chapter, full of drama, action, erratic feelings … I was literally drowning in this mini world of yours. Too bad it ended and I have to wait some more for the next chapter, but you know what they say “The longer you have to wait for something, the more you will appreciate it when it comes“

Could I ask what were the words engraved in the Espada’s back? You really made me curious. Anyway I was thinking that Gin had to go through that for 7 years … huh talk about prolonged torture.

The ulquihime/grimmkarin scene moved me to tears. I could almost see the two couples embraced by love, sadness and fear (in Karin’s case)… TT_TT

Oh, oh o_O fucking oh! Seriously … I am scared to read the next chapter and with Grimmjow’s feeling spread on a plate like this I don’t think I’ll be able to sleep ever again. If he was scared, angry, upset, disgusted … I don’t want to know how I might have felt … *shaking* I hate that son of a bitch so muuccchhh. (Aizen)

Imagine that I am supposed to go and portrait Aizen as a not so big bastard. How should I do that after reading this chapter? TT_TT

Szayel … my poor, little, freaky scientist.
I’ll go read the next chapter now. Wish me luck *biting nails*

I spent my entire Sunday reading this fic and OH MY GOD was I thoroughly entertained! The pairings all work, well with the exception of Yammy and Byakuya for the obvious reason that it's not supposed to, but as a writer you have done your job in making me absolutely want to eviscerate the decimo.
As much as I HATE Yammy, my heart just breaks whenever Renji is mentioned. So much so that a small part of me feels guilty that I'm not totally upset with Szay's punishment. (It's totally wrong of me, I know.)

My favorite pairing outside of the main GrimKarin is Nnoi and Ran, and this is coming from a huge UlquiHime fan! The few times they have been spotlighted I have loved!

    Can't wait to read more!

I really liked this chapter! :D Gin can finally catch a break and lighten up around Ajuga (even though it was a little bit). I feel so bad for Gin and hope things will turn up better for him :)

Congratulations on getting pregnant btw! I hope you will feel better in the near future and that your baby will turn up healthy and happy without any complications =D
